Thirteen new documentaries drop on Netflix in October 2025. Ranging from music docuseries to true crime, there’s something for everyone. 

Netflix’s debuted just six documentaries in September 2025. As we enter October, that number more than doubles with 13 new documentaries being added to the library. There’s a wide range of them too; music, true crime, lifestyle, and beyond. We’ve compiled all of them below, along with when they’re streaming.  


Rockstar: DUKI from the End of the World

Coming to Netflix: October 2

This documentary explores the life of Argentine trap star DUKI. It revisits his early life as a rap battle extraordinaire, to quickly becoming a global phenomenon. This documentary is an intimate exploration of his career — directly from the star himself. 


Rhythm + Flow France: After the Beat

Coming to Netflix: October 3

Rhythm + Flow France: After the Beat follows the journey of contestants from the French version of the rap competition show Rhythm + Flow. This series dives behind the scenes, exploring the rise and evolution of upcoming musicians in the aftermath of their appearances on the show.


True Haunting

Coming to Netflix: October 6

5-episode docuseries True Haunting is one of the most exciting upcoming documentaries coming to the streamer. Acclaimed horror filmmaker James Wan (Insidious, The Conjuring) offers up real horror stories in his signature vision. It tells stories through chilling (and often disturbing) reenactments alongside present-day interviews with those involved.


Victoria Beckham

Coming to Netflix: October 9

Victoria Beckham is getting a 3-part documentary on Netflix all about her rise to fame, lifestyle, and of course, her experience as a >Spice Girl. This biographical documentary explores her fashion empire and musical fame, featuring interviews with family and key fashion industry figures.


My Father, the BTK Killer

Coming to Netflix: October 10

Kerri Rawson is the daughter of one of America’s most notorious serial killers. Her father, Dennis Rader, is known as the BTK Killer, who committed 10 murders between 1974 and 1991. This film explores how her father’s acts of pure evil affected Kerri mentally, as she seeks answers and healing. 

This film was made by Skye Borgman, who recently found huge success with Unknown Number: The High School Catfish.


The Perfect Neighbor

Coming to Netflix: October 17

Some of us are lucky and have lovely neighbours. Others have nightmare neighbours. This documentary follows one tight-knit community navigating a neighbor’s relentless harassment. It’s raw and chilling, featuring content filmed from bodycam footage captured by dozens of police visits. 


Turn of the Tide: The Surreal Story of Rabo de Peixe

Coming to Netflix: October 17

Turn Of The Tide The Surreal Story Of Rabo De Peixe First Look (5)

Back in 2023, Netflix premiered “Rabo de Peixe” (or Turn of the Tide in English). The story was loosely based on true events, where a sailboat sank off the coast of the Azores, spilling more than 500 kilos of cocaine into the waters of a nearby village. This feature-length documentary recounts the real events that the Portuguese series was based on. 


Who Killed the Montreal Expos?

Coming to Netflix: October 18

From crime and lifestyle, we now move on to sports. Who Killed the Montreal Expos explores the immense downfall of the Montreal Expos, Canada’s first Major League Baseball team. The documentary features interviews with fans and sports journalists, and even former players, including Pedro Martínez and Vladimir Guerrero.


Mob War: Philadelphia vs. The Mafia

Coming to Netflix: October 21

Described by Netflix as “MORE violent and MORE compelling than anything ever witnessed in Gotham,” this documentary dives right into the complex and brutal mob wars in Philadelphia. The mafia in Philly was much worse than New York. There was prostitution, loan sharking, drugs, the list goes on. This documentary spills all the details, direct from interviews by those who witnessed it firsthand. 


Babo: The Haftbefehl Story

Coming to Netflix: October 28

Another rap documentary, Babo: The Haftbefehl Story chronicles the life of legendary German rapper Aykut Anhan (better known by his stage name Haftbefehl). This documentary offers viewers an authentic and unfiltered look at his life, struggles, and the sacrifices he made. It features personal interviews with Haftbefehl himself, as well as those closest to him. 


Nightmares of Nature: Lost in the Jungle

Coming to Netflix: October 28

Narrated by Maya Hawke (who many of you might know as Robin from Stranger Things), Nightmares of Nature is a documentary series that captures the danger of nature… from the perspective of the prey. It reimagines natural history filmmaking through a horror lens, where trees bleed, zombie snails crawl, and vampire fish rule the waters. The series is split into two seasons: season 1 drops on September 30th and season 2 drops on October 28th.


Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers

Coming to Netflix: October 30

Between 1989 and 1990, Aileen Wuornos murdered seven men across central Florida. And yet, her motivations remain a deeply layered and debated. This documentary seeks to dive inside her mind, revisiting her insidious crimes and exploring her childhood abuse and death-row revelations.

Her story has already been covered in Hollywood, being played by Charlize Theron in Monster (2003). Rather than a movie standpoint, this documentary dives deep into the case. 


Juan Gabriel: I Must, I Can, I Will

Coming to Netflix: October 30

Juan Gabriel was an iconic Mexican singer-songwriter — at one point, he was Mexico’s leading commercial musician. This documentary chronicles his life through exclusive and rare footage, displaying the sacrifices he made for his career, and the duality between his flamboyant public presence and private life.
