Welcome to one of the busiest weeks on Netflix for the entire year as we cross into October 2025. Below, we’ll walk you through the preliminary list of everything we know that’s coming up over the next seven days, including all the new series and movies. Plus, we’ll also give you three titles that we’re looking forward to watching this week.

Before we dig in, you can take a look at everything coming up throughout October 2025 in our full preview for the month here. This week is also going to be busy for removals. If you’re midway through a binge of White Collar, you’ll need to speed up as it departs in just a couple of days alongside a slew of high-profile movies.

Most Anticipated New Releases on Netflix This Week

Dog Man (2025)

Coming to Netflix: Tuesday

The latest DreamWorks Animation film to arrive on Netflix following its theatrical release is Dog Man, directed by Peter Hastings. Based on the book by Dav Pilkey (who also had his other main work, Captain Underpants, given the big screen treatment), you’ll be following a policeman and his dog who become fused together in the hopes of stopping Petey the Cat, who is on a mission to clone himself.

The Way Home (Seasons 1-2)

Coming to Netflix: Wednesday

Starring Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, and Evan Williams, this excellent Hallmark Channel series will be coming to the streamer in the United States for the first time as part of a new deal that brings a number of movies and series from the channel to Netflix, and arguably, this one is our most anticipated. The time-travel drama follows three generations of women who reunite and must face their family’s complex past when the youngest makes an unimaginable discovery.

Netflix will also receive season 3, but not until early next year, in February 2026. If you’ve been loving some of Netflix’s feel-good series as of late, this is definitely worth a watch.

Monster: The Ed Gein Story (Limited Series)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

Like them or loathe them, there’s no denying the amount of eyeballs that the Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan anthology series brings in for Netflix. Detailing some of the most gruesome and horrific killers in history, season 3 of the show rewinds the clock back to the 1950s and follows Ed Gein, who eventually adopted the name the Butch of Plainfield for what he eventually did to a number of residents in his town of Wisconsin.

Charlie Hunnam (best known for roles in Sons of Anarchy and recently in Netflix’s Rebel Moon) will be headlining the cast with others, including Laurie Metcalf, Suzanna Son, Tom Hollander, Vicky Krieps, Olivia Williams, Lesley Manville, and Joey Pollari.

We suspect this is going to catch plenty of headlines come the weekend, and maybe not all for the positive.
