While a second season has yet to be officially confirmed by Netflix or WWE, at the very least, more episodes of the documentary are expected to air sometime in 2026. Here’s everything we know so far.

WWE: Unreal is a Netflix Original sports-docuseries taking fans behind the scenes of the WWE, peeling back the curtain and allowing wrestling fans to learn all about what goes into booking and writing the storylines, how the talented stars of the WWE prepare for their matches, and several interviews with the likes of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, The Rock, and more! The series is directed by Chris Weaver, and produced by Skydance Sports with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions and NFL Films co-producing.

Official Renewal Status: Pending (Last Updated: 03/09/2025)

While an official announcement hasn’t been made by either the WWE or Netflix regarding a second season, it is likely that more episodes are forthcoming. Chris Weaver, the director of the series, confirmed in an interview with the hosts of Wrestling Republic that more episodes are on the way.

When asked if more episodes were on the way, Chris Weaver responded with the following:

Yes, there are more episodes to come. I can’t detail it a whole lot, you know, but I can tell you there’s more happening. We’re working on it now, and you will see more WWE Unreal on Netflix for sure.

The official landing page for the series on Netflix states that more episodes are scheduled to arrive next year as well.

What will we see in the next batch of episodes?

The next batch of episodes will focus on the fallout from both nights of WrestleMania, as numerous title belts changed hands, particularly Jey Uso’s victory over Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship and John Cena’s triumph over Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

It’s more than likely the episodes will take fans up to the events of SummerSlam, the first time in the PLE’s history where it has been split across two action-packed nights. At the very least, we know we’ll see the events of Money in the Bank, as confirmed in the aforementioned interview with Chris Weaver.

“Clark Taylor (Wrestling Republic): I was at WrestleMania this year, and then I was at Money in the Bank, and I really wasn’t paying attention when I got to episode five. And I was like, oh, man, I can’t wait. That Money in the Bank episode is probably coming up next.

Chris Weaver: I think your dreams will come true about Money in the Bank. Let’s put it to you that way.”

When are more episodes of WWE: Unreal coming to Netflix?

At the time of writing, all we know is that more episodes are scheduled to arrive in 2026.
