There’s a ton of TVN content coming in the second half of 2025 on Netflix, and one of several exciting shows arriving is Typhoon Family. Coming to Netflix in October 2025, Typhoon Family will star Lee Jun Ho and Kim Min Ha. Here’s everything we know so far about Typhoon Family on Netflix.
Typhoon Family (formerly Typhoon Boss) is an upcoming licensed South Korean Netflix Original drama series directed by Lee Na Jung.
When is Typhoon Family coming to Netflix?
We previously reported that Typhoon Family would be released on Netflix on October 4, 2025. However, the release date has been pushed back by a week and will instead be released on Netflix on October 11, 2025.
This has been confirmed in a teaser trailer released by Netflix.
The new broadcast schedule means the series will air between October 11 and November 30, 2025.
The series will have a total of 16 episodes. Each episode will have a runtime of 60 minutes.
What is the plot of Typhoon Family?
Kang Tae Pung is the CEO of the family business, Typhoon Company. His father loved the company as much as his own family, but since taking over for his late father, Kang Tae Poong has struggled to protect it, especially when the entire economy faced extreme hardship during the 1997 IMF crisis.

Who are the cast members of Typhoon Family?
The two leads of Typhoon Family are confirmed to be Lee Jun Ho and Kim Min Ha.
Kim Min Ha will lay O Mi Suk. Kim Min Ha. The actress has yet to star in a Netflix series, but has led several popular K-dramas such as Light Shop, Pachinko, Way Back Love, and Not Alright, But It’s Alright. The actress will also star in Netflix’s upcoming drama Perfect Job.
The actress shared her excitement about the k-drama:

Lee Jun Ho will play Kang Tae Pung. The actor has previously starred in Celebrity and was the male lead of the popular K-drama King the Land. For his acting, he is most well-known for his roles in dramas such as The Red Sleeve, Confession, Just Between Lovers, and Good Manager. He will star in Netflix’s highly anticipated adaptation of the webtoon Cashero.
The actor also shared his thoughts on starring in the series.
