Millie Bobby Brown will star in her 7th Netflix project alongside Gabriel LaBelle in her first romantic comedy film, Just Picture It. Filming is reportedly set to get underway in September 2025. Here’s everything we know so far.

Just Picture It is an upcoming Netflix Original romantic comedy film directed by Lee Toland Krieger (You) and written by Jesse Lasky (Code Black). The film’s producers are Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for RK Films, and Millie Bobby Brown and Robert Brown for PCMA Productions. The film will be the fourth such project she has worked on as a producer for Netflix, following the Enola Holmes trilogy; she also worked as an executive producer on Damsel.

The executive producers for Just Picture It are Jake Bongiovi and Isobel Roberts for PCMA Productions, Alyssa Altman for RK Films, and David Kern.


What is the plot of Just Picture It?

Netflix has provided a logline for Just Picture It:

“The film follows two college students who are surprised when their phones glitch and start showing them pictures from 10 years in the future — featuring them as a happily married couple with kids.”


Who are the cast members of Just Picture It?

It has been confirmed that Millie Bobby Brown and Gabrielle LaBelle have been cast in Netflix’s latest romantic comedy.

Millie Bobby Brown is one of the most popular and arguably one of Netflix’s most frequent collaborators. So far, the actress has starred in a total of six Netflix projects, which include all five seasons of Stranger Things, Damsel, The Electric State, and the Enola Holmes films, for which she is also a producer. Just Picture It will be her 7th project for Netflix. 

Gabriel LaBelle’s only appearance in a Netflix project so far was in an episode of the horror series Brand New Cherry Flavor. He is most well-known for his roles in films such as The Predator and The Fabelmans, for which he received acclaim for his performance. Anthony Keyvan was the next to join the cast with previous credits including XO, Kitty, and Love, Victor

On September 25th, 2025, Netflix announced six had joined the cast, including:

What is the current production status of Just Picture It?

Production Weekly has reported in issue 1462 that filming is scheduled to get underway in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 8, 2025. Filming will take place over several weeks, concluding on October 29, 2025.

It’s essential that filming wraps by the end of October 2025, as Millie Bobby Brown is likely to rejoin her fellow Stranger Things cast members to promote the release of the final season, with part 1 releasing Thanksgiving 2025.


When is the Just Picture It Netflix release date?

With filming set to take place between September and October 2025, we’ll likely see the release of Just Picture It on Netflix sometime in the second half of 2026 (July-December).
