Netflix’s mobile gaming roster has been notably quiet lately, but a massive mobile hit is about to break the silence. The retro-inspired arcade game Tomb of the Mask is officially making its way to Netflix Games on Android and iOS on June 25th.
If you’ve been keeping an eye on our full list of mobile and cloud games on Netflix, you’ll know that new mobile releases for 2026 have been pretty thin on the ground so far with most of Netflix’s efforts placed on the TV experience. Thankfully, Netflix is injecting some much-needed adrenaline into its mobile library this summer with a title that has already proven to be a juggernaut in the app stores.
Created by Happymagenta and Playgendary, Tomb of the Mask is described as an addictive, fast-paced arcade game that has already been downloaded and enjoyed by hundreds of millions of players worldwide. The game was first launched all the way back in 2016 on iOS and later given its first Android port in 2018 with most reviewers comparing it to Pac-Man.
Now, it’s getting the Netflix treatment. What does the “Netflix treatment” mean? You won’t bump into any in-game ads or extra fees required to keep playing. It’s just pure, endless maze-running and wall-crawling action.
Here is what you can expect from the game when it drops:
“Imagine you’re exploring a mysterious tomb and stumble upon a strange mask. You put it on and transform into an agile, powerful Tomb Seeker who can dash at top speed and climb vertical walls. But that’s just one of your new special powers; many more will be revealed as you explore labyrinths and collect different masks and power-ups.
Make your way through intricate pixel art mazes filled with twists and turns. Pick up treasure, evade enemies and overcome obstacles on your path to victory.”
Players will have to plan their paths carefully and stay one step ahead of danger as they dash through retro-style mazes to collect treasure.
Per the official listings, the Netflix edition of the game will feature several different ways to play:
- Map Mode: Run through a sequence of increasingly complex, challenging stages. Collect dots, coins, and stars to earn rewards, while avoiding traps and adversaries.
- Arcade Mode: Dash upward through an endless maze as fast as you can while deadly lava rises from below. How long can you stay alive?
- Event Mode: Test out your tomb raider powers with a rotating collection of limited-time minigames like Snake, Boss Clash, Color Quest, Gems Seeker, and more.
Whether you’re a long-time fan of the original game looking for an ad-free experience, or you’re diving into the tomb for the very first time, this looks like a perfect commute-killer to add to your phone.
Tomb of the Mask will be available to download via the Netflix app, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store on June 25th (although Netflix’s about page lists it as dropping earlier, on June 23rd).
