Will order ever be restored to the chaotic town of Adamczycha? Probably not, but we’ll get to find out soon enough. Netflix’s hit Polish mockumentary is officially set for a comeback later this year, and Netflix Poland has just revealed the exact release date along with a trove of new plot details. Here is everything you need to know about 1670 season 3.

Netflix has a knack for playing up period comedies from around the world: among some examples, we can highlight the Norwegian hit Norsemen, and on a darker side of satire, 2024’s The Decameron. But one of the longest-running and most beloved shows in the genre is the Polish satire 1670, which was last seen in late 2025. Audiences won’t have to wait two years for the new, third season, and with a little luck, producers will get to see through their 4-season plan.

So, what exactly do we know about the new season? Let’s dive in.

When is 1670 Season 3 premiering on Netflix?

Previously teased for a vague window in the second half of 2026, Netflix has officially confirmed that season 3 will premiere globally on August 5, 2026.

What is the plot of 1670 Season 3?

Here is the updated official synopsis for the new season (translated from Polish):

“Everyone knows that the noble title he inherited is the most important constant in Jan Paweł’s life. But is that really the case? During the third season of 1670, following the harvest festivities, the head of the Adamczewski family is confronted with the truth about his identity. He wants to prove to himself, but above all to the nation, that he is a true homo sarmatus (man of the people).

The struggle to regain his status leads him to the royal court, where he observes the inner workings of power. The world as Jan Paweł knew it is beginning to crumble, and even in Adamczycha he can no longer enjoy the idyllic life of serfdom. His relationship with Zofia has cooled considerably, the conflict with Jakub escalates, and the devil’s closest relative, Andrzej, seems to be behind it all. If only the peasants would respect this difficult situation and not interfere… but they too seem increasingly uneasy about the inconveniences of their circumstances. Will the school for peasants, founded at Aniela’s initiative, be the solution to their suffering? And can a peasant actually go to the Moon?”

Here’s more first looks at season 3, many of which were released earlier this year during Netflix’s Polish slate reveal:

What the Creators Are Saying About Season 3

“Jan Paweł’s motivation and ambition literally reach space this season, which naturally involves crossing further boundaries of absurdity,” teases creator and writer Jakub Rużyłło (translated from Polish) in a press release. “With that comes an even greater space to surprise the viewer or twist into weird pop-culture nooks and crannies.”

Director Kordian Kądziela adds that the new batch of episodes will feel a bit different from season 2: “The third chapter of the characters’ fates is darker than the previous one, making it closer in atmosphere to the first season. And although we return to our muddy, gray Adamczycha, the action takes us to different places—Warsaw, royal courts, and outdoor landscapes. The third season, along with a wealth of new events, characters, and plot twists, paints a panorama of the show’s world from a much broader perspective.”

Behind the camera, writer and creator Jakub Rużyłło is joined once again by directors Maciej Buchwald and Kordian Kądziela.
