It’s Emmy season, and Netflix is officially in campaign mode. If you’ve been keeping up, you’ve probably seen a wave of stories outlining the shows the streamer is hoping to score nominations for. As part of its push, Netflix has now updated its “For Your Consideration” (FYC) site, showcasing every title it’s putting forward across various categories. From drama and comedy to limited series and nonfiction, the full slate is now live and gives us a comprehensive look at the contenders Netflix is backing this year.
You can see the full list of the titles Netflix campaigned for in 2024 here, as well as the eventual nominees and winners.
Let’s get into it. What are Netflix hoping to bag awards this year? We’ll dive into all the categories below and note that those marked in bold signify that they’ve been given greater visibility on the website with bigger banners and such. We’ll also include some commentary on each category, including what the experts from GoldDerby are saying with regards to what Netflix’s best chances are…

Drama Series
This is an interesting category given that Netflix’s biggest hopes for the year are in the comedy and limited series categories. That said, they’re still listing six titles up from four in 2024. While Apple TV+ and HBO dominate the top five spots on the GoldDerby prediction list, The Diplomat is reportedly Netflix’s best chance at scooping Emmy glory, coming in at number 6 on the prediction website. Bridgerton season 3 famously missed out on the 2024 Emmys, but will the season, which grew its audience, still be in voters’ minds?
- The Diplomat (Season 2)
- Squid Game (Season 2)
- Black Doves
- Bridgerton
- Forever
- The Umbrella Academy
Comedy Series
Hacks, The Bear, Only Murders in the Building, and The Studio are the most hotly tipped favorites for the comedy series run, with Nobody Wants This being Netflix’s best hope per GoldDerby. That extends to the actor categories too, with Kristen Bell and Adam Brody the fourth most tipped for actress and actor categories, respectively.
- A Man on the Inside
- The Four Seasons
- Nobody Wants This
- The Residence
- Cobra Kai
- Emily in Paris S4
- Mo S2
- No Good Deed
- Running Point
- Survival of the Thicket S2
- The Upshaws S6
Limited Series

Netflix spent several months hyping up the release of Adolescence, but I don’t think anyone thought it was going to be the juggernaut it turned out to be. A global success, the series is currently tipped as Netflix’s best chance for the entire Emmys at scooping a win, fending off competition from The Penguin, Dying for Sex, and Disclaimer. In addition, Variety reports that special campaigns are being run for Stephen Graham and Owen Cooper, among others.
For Black Mirror season 7, the streamer is running campaigns for several actors from the new season of the limited series (don’t ask me!), including Paul Giamatti, Chris O’Dowd, and Rashida Jones.

- Black Mirror S7
- Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Mendendez Story
- Zero Day
- American Primeval
- The Perfect Couple
Television Movie

One category I’ve never quite understood is the television movie, given the blurry lines that streaming has created. Nevertheless, according to the experts, Netflix has a pretty good shot here, with Rebel Ridge currently tipped in the number 1 spot ahead of Bridget Jones: Mad about a Boy, Out of my Mind, and Mountainhead.

Animated Programs

Four animated hopefuls are listed this year, down from nine listed in 2024, with Love, Death and Robots perhaps being the most bankable, given that it’s scored 13 Emmy nominations previously, but don’t count out the critically acclaimed second season of Arcane either.
- Arcane S2
- Big Mouth S6
- Devil May Cry
- Love, Death and Robots Volume 4
Reality Series (Structured/Unstructured)
Notably a few more hopefuls this year in the reality TV slate with America’s Sweethearts a notable contender and Queer Eye is usually pretty bankable given prior years also.
- America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders (Unstructured)
- Love is Blind (Structured)
- Love on the Spectrum S3 (Unstructured)
- Queer Eye S10 (Structured)
- The Later Daters (Unstructured)
- Selling Sunset S8 (Unstructured)
- Is It Cake? (Competition)
- Million Dollar Secret (Competition)

Variety Programs
The number of titles listed here is notably down quite considerably from last year, with 10 pre-recorded titles and four live on the website last year. No predictions for this category, but if I had to put money on it, I’d say the Jamie Foxx special and Beyonce Bowl have the best chances personally.
- Adam Sandler: Love You (Pre-Recorded)
- Ali Wong: Single Lady (Pre-Recorded)
- Beyonce Bowl (Live)
- Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was… (Pre-Recorded)
- Your Friend, Nate Margatze (Pre-Recorded)

Those are Netflix’s Emmy hopefuls for 2025, but don’t forget that by the time the full nominations come out, there could be a few surprises! Netflix will also be hosting an FYSEE LA festival with confirmed stars including Kristen Bell, Simone Biles, Adam Brody, Ted Danson, Tina Fey, Paul Giamatti, Jamie Foxx, Kate Hudson, Allison Janney, Rashida Jones, Mindy Kaling, Nick Kroll, Lee Jung-jae, Aaron Pierre, Keri Russell, Tracee Ellis Ross and Sarah Silverman with multiple events throughout May.
