Kim Kardashian’s Netflix comedy film The Fifth Wheel has found its director in Eva Longoria. The film, still in pre-production, has only one cast member, with Kim Kardashian as the lead. Details are limited, but here’s everything we know so far about The Fifth Wheel on Netflix.
The Fifth Wheel is an upcoming Netflix Original comedy film directed by Eva Longoria and written by SNL writer Paula Pell and Girls5eva writer Janine Brito.

Paula Pell, Kim Kardashian serve as producers on The Fifth Wheel. Jessica Elbaum and Will Ferrell join them for Gloria Sanchez Productions. Cris Abrego and Eva Longoria’s Hyphenate Media Group will also produce. Deadline notes that the movie had a unique pitch cycle as it came very quickly. They note the speed at which, in many cases, it would take months; here, it was mere days. Pell and Brito came up with the idea and then pitched Kardashian almost immediately after the strike ended. Within days, the package hit the market and became the first major sale before 2023 ended.
What is the plot of The Fifth Wheel?
Netflix has provided a synopsis for The Fifth Wheel:
“A group of best friends from high school attempt to reconnect during a weekend jaunt to Vegas. When a hot outsider (played by Kim Kardashian) crashes the weekend, they’re forced to face their messy lives, bad decisions, and unraveling friendships.”
Who are the cast members of The Fifth Wheel?
At the time of writing, Kim Kardashian is the only confirmed cast member. Outside of her family, reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Kardashians, and appearances as herself, Kim’s acting roles have been relatively limited. Her most notable roles to date are as Siobhan Corbyn in American Horror Story and as the voice of Delores in the Paw Patrol movies.

What is the production status of The Fifth Wheel?
The film is currently in pre-production, but now that it has found its director, filming dates will soon be confirmed.

Netflix has yet to confirm an official release date at the time of this writing.
