Are the ‘Dragon Ball Z’ Series and Movies on Netflix?

The ever-popular Dragon Ball franchise has entered a renaissance in the past few years. Ever since the release of Battle of Gods and the Dragon Ball Super, fans have been clamoring for more and more Dragon Ball content. This has led to many wanting to re-watch Dragon Ball Z all over again. This begs the question, is Dragon Ball Z streaming on Netflix?

Dragon Ball Z is an anime based on the manga of the same name by author Akira Toriyama. The story follows the adventures of the Saiyan Son-Goku. After the events of Dragon Ball, Goku settled down with his wife Chi-Chi on Mount Paozu. After a fateful encounter with his brother Raditz, it is revealed that Goku is not of this earth and is, in fact, a Saiyan.

The Saiyans are a powerful warrior race that takes great pride in fighting and becoming the strongest they can possibly be. Goku sacrifices himself to save the life of his son Gohan and is sent to the afterlife to train with King Kai who can help train Goku for incoming Saiyan threat.

The Dragon Ball franchise is arguably one of the most popular franchises in pop culture. Many adults today would have grown up with Goku and the Z-fighters on our screens defending the Earth from unparalleled danger. There are 10 Seasons with 291 episodes, 14 movies, and numerous amounts of video games and across multiple platforms. It’s easy to see why the popular franchise is so much in demand.
