It was a big night for Netflix, with 2025 being their second-best year from the Emmys following 2021’s 44 wins. After collecting 120 nominations across 44 new and returning series and movies, spanning 14 program categories, they converted to 30 wins for the 77th Annual Awards – here’s the big winners and takeaways.
Limited series, animation, and unscripted led the night, with Adolescence topping the prestige field, Arcane and Love, Death + Robots dominating craft and animation honors, and reality stalwarts like Queer Eye and Love on the Spectrum capturing program prizes. Voice and narration also shone, with Julie Andrews recognized for Bridgerton and Barack Obama honored for Our Oceans.
Adolescence swept the limited series field with top program, acting, writing, directing, cinematography, and casting wins. Owen Cooper became the youngest ever winner in the male acting category. In his emotional speech, Cooper reaffirmed that starting drama classes only a few years earlier and stepping out of his comfort zone had changed his life. He thanked his parents, family, castmates, and the creative team behind the series, saying that the award belonged to everyone involved in the project.
Similarly, emotional speeches came from both Erin Doherty and Stephen Graham, who won best supporting actress and lead actor, respectively.
Earlier in the week, Arcane returned to the podium with program and sound editing wins, plus multiple individual achievement honors, while Love, Death + Robots also continued with its impressive awards haul, with its four new awards bringing its overall tally to 17.
Unscripted remained a Netflix stronghold, as Queer Eye captured Structured Reality and Love on the Spectrum earned Unstructured Reality and Casting. On the crafts side, Bridgerton extended its good run in these categories with wins for costumes, hairstyling, and a character voice-over performance by Julie Andrews. Rebel Ridge secured the Television Movie award, and Beyoncé Bowl took home the Costumes award for variety, nonfiction, or reality programming.
