Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, two of the most formative figures of Women’s mixed martial arts, will meet in the ring for the very first time live on Netflix, from the Inuit Dome, California, on May 16, 2026. Here’s what we know about the exciting fight.
It’s been a decade since ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey (12-2-0, 9 submissions, 3 KOs) last entered an MMA ring, and Gina Carano (MMA: 7-1-0, 1 Submission, 3 KOs – Muay Thai: 12-1-1) even longer still. But it was announced today by MVP (Most Valuable Promotions) and Netflix that Rousey and Carano will return to the ring for an epic showdown live and exclusive on Netflix on May 16, 2026.
Since stepping away from MMA, both fighters have found careers elsewhere. For a brief period, Rousey competed in the WWE and took part in the first Women’s division main event at WrestleMania. She also starred in both Fast & Furious and The Expendables franchise. Meanwhile, Gina Carano transitioned to Muay Thai, holding an impressive record before eventually becoming an actress and starring in Hollywood films and shows such as Haywire, Fast & Furious 6, Deadpool, and The Mandalorian.
Tickets for the event will go live on Ticketmaster on March 5 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET. You can register your interest early and sign up for presale now at RouseyCarano.com. The first press conference for the fight will take place inside the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California on March 5, 2026, and will be hosted by combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani.
