It’s been a couple of months since The Lincoln Lawyer’s fourth season wrapped up filming in Los Angeles, with the series now deep in post-production. News has been slim, but we’ve got a couple of pieces of information that tease what’s to come and when we might expect the new season.
Noting that all the episode titles are currently in alphabetical order and not in episode order (although we do know which are in the first half of the season), let’s dig into the eight new episodes that make up season 4:
- 50/50
- 7211956 (first half)
- Baja (first half)
- Bleeding the Beast (first half)
- Confirmation bias
- Forty Hours (first half)
- Honor Among Thieves
- You’re the One That I Want
OK, what do these episode titles mean? Here’s what we’re expecting:
50/50 – A vague title, but one that reflects uncertainty. Whether it’s Mickey’s odds of acquittal, divided loyalties among friends and colleagues, or the balance between guilt and innocence, the theme suggests high stakes where the outcome could go either way.
7211956 – This appears to be an official identifier, likely associated with Mickey’s incarceration. It underlines the idea that even a celebrated defense attorney can be reduced to a number when the system turns against him.
Baja – A nod toward cartel entanglements? Baja may signal that Mickey’s framing is linked to ongoing conflicts south of the border, with past enemies resurfacing or new ones stepping into the void left by De Marco.
Bleeding the Beast – A phrase that suggests weakening a powerful opponent piece by piece. This could represent Mickey’s strategy against the prosecution, a cartel’s internal struggles, or the slow draining effect of corruption on the justice system.
Confirmation Bias – The heart of the case against Mickey. Law enforcement and prosecutors may see only what confirms their theory of guilt, while Mickey must expose that tunnel vision to prove his innocence.
Forty Hours – A reference to time pressure. This could be a procedural deadline, a countdown before a ruling, or simply the constant urgency Mickey faces as he fights to keep from being buried by the system.
Honor Among Thieves – Suggests that alliances, betrayals, and shifting loyalties play a big role. Mickey may find himself relying on unsavory characters or uncovering deals struck between criminals that explain why he was set up.
You’re the One That I Want – The most personal title, hinting at obsession or desire. It could reflect a romantic subplot, a family connection, or the chilling revelation that Mickey was not a random target but the intended victim all along.

The season’s writers include Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, who are also the showrunners, Matthew J. Lieberman, Gladys Rodriguez, Katy Erin, Matthew Lieberman, Isabella A. Rodriguez, Lisa Quintela, Jake H. Bernstein, and Ryan Hoang Williams.
How about a release date? Nothing official on this front, although we have received some intel that suggests Netflix is currently eyeing a February 2026 slot (specifically on February 5th), although this is highly subject to change. We should also note that we’ve been alerted that IMDb and a few other locations list October 16th, 2025 although we suggest that The Diplomat already occupies that slot.
It’s going to be a busy start to the year with some big films scheduled for January and February, also occupied by Strip Law, Is It Cake? Valentines and Agents of Mystery season 2, with lots more to be learned about the 2026 slate in the weeks and months to come.
We’ll pull all this new information into our full preview of everything you can expect from the new season in due course, but until then, let us know if you’re excited for the new season of The Lincoln Lawyer in the comments down below, and let us know your theories from the new titles below.
