The clock has officially struck midnight on the 91-day premiere window for Skydance Animation’s hit feature, Swapped, and the final numbers are in. After an incredible run, the animated sensation has permanently cemented itself as the 8th most popular English-language movie in Netflix history and Netflix’s second-best-performing animated feature behind KPop Demon Hunters.
As we covered a couple of weeks ago, the film officially broke into the all-time list, with director Nathan Greno calling the milestone an “incredible honor.”
Now that its measurement window has concluded on July 31st, 91 days after its debut, Swapped wraps up its historic run with a staggering 144,900,000 completed views (CVE), equating to 246,400,000 hours viewed across its brisk 1-hour and 42-minute runtime.
In claiming the #8 spot, the animated gem has officially pushed down the Sam Esmail apocalyptic thriller Leave the World Behind (143.4M views) to #9. (For those keeping track of the changing tides in the recent top 10 reports, this shift has also resulted in War Machine holding the #10 spot with 139.9M views, completely knocking The Gray Man off the all-time list).

Diving Deeper: FlixPatrol and Nielsen Data Reveal Global Dominance
If you want to understand how Swapped pulled off these massive numbers, we can look to third-party data to see just how well the film sustained its audience over the past three months.
According to global top 10 data from FlixPatrol, the movie was an absolute juggernaut internationally, hitting the #1 spot in almost every country tracked. It found particularly unprecedented staying power in Latin America. The film spent an astonishing 94 days in the daily top 10 lists in both Bolivia and Guatemala, 92 days in Brazil, 91 days in Mexico, and 88 days in El Salvador. In contrast, it struggled slightly to find a foothold in a few Asian markets, peaking at #5 in Japan (spanning 8 days in the top 10) and #8 in South Korea (spending just 3 days on the list).
Stateside, the Nielsen streaming ratings paint a picture of a certified word-of-mouth hit.
In its first week, Swapped racked up 503 million viewing minutes (ranking second only to APEX). Not surprisingly, Nielsen noted that kids ages 2-11 made up more than a third (37%) of the movie’s audience right out of the gate.
But it was Week 2—its first full week of availability—where the film truly exploded. Nielsen reported that Swapped moved to the top of the movie list, jumping nearly 70% to rake in a massive 852 million viewing minutes.
From there, its legs carried it beautifully through the next month:
- Week 3: 514 million minutes
- Week 4: 362 million minutes
- Week 5: 260 million minutes
If you want to geek out even more over the film’s week-by-week global performance, you can run the numbers yourself using our Netflix Top 10 Title Search tool, where you can see the movie is still in the daily top 10s in over a dozen countries even to this day.
