The second season of American Crime Story or also known as The Assassination of Gianni Versace will likely be coming to Netflix in the months to come. Here’s what we know about season 2 of American Crime Story when it’ll be on Netflix, whether the first will stay and its status on other Netflix regions too.

FX has been releasing some real hit shows over the past few years with the likes of Fargo and American Horror Story. The reason as to why these shows are so successful is likely because of the resurgence of anthology series which American Crime Story follows. In the first season, the series followed the O.J Simpson case and in the second, it’ll be looking at the assassination of Gianni Versace.

Reviews for the second season of American Crime Story has been very kind to the show and therefore will be most wanted on Netflix.

Just to recap, season 1 of American Crime Story was added to Netflix in February 2017 but first aired in February 2016.

Will season 2 of American Crime Story be coming to Netflix?

Yes! Netflix managed to strike a licensing agreement with FX for several different series from the network including American Crime Story. These licensing agreements mean that future seasons will all drop on Netflix. It’s worth noting a major caveat here. This was before Disney purchased Fox who could pull out of the deal.

It took pretty much exactly a year for season 1 to be added to Netflix so we’re predicting a similar release date for season 2. That means season 2 will likely arrive on Netflix in January 2019.

What about Netflix in the United Kingdom

The UK is currently streaming the first season too but will likely have to wait just like the US if not longer after the BBC has once again picked up the show. Once again, we’re expecting season 2 of American Crime Story to be on Netflix in January 2019.

What about future seasons?

Yes! There are two more seasons planned for American Crime Story with the next to focus on Katrina. Plus Ryan Murphy (the guy behind the show) is going to start making programs for Netflix from now on.
