Barbie is coming back to Netflix this Fall globally with an all-new 8-episode series featuring a brand new animation style. The new series, titled Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase, will join Netflix’s collection of over a dozen titles featuring the famous doll.

The new series comes from Mattel Television, which is launching a new toy line over the summer in anticipation of the new series. Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts and Barbie “Malibu” Roberts lead the new series, embarking on a new adventure vacation to the English countryside, visiting Ken’s aunt, Lady Carson. Their vacation plans become disrupted by the theft of prized jumping horses and a diamond-encrusted saddle worth millions.

“With an all-new story and mysterious adventures, Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase brings to life fun-filled adventures and the bond between Malibu, Brooklyn, and friends like never before,” said Michelle Mendelovitz, Global Head of Mattel Television Studios in a press release. “We’re excited to introduce Barbie fans of all ages to this delightful new series and accompanying toy line as we continue to expand the Barbie universe even further.”

Netflix’s collection of Barbie titles does differ slightly depending on where you live around the world, but here’s what’s currently on offer for those in the United States as of the time of publishing (listed in alphabetical order):

  • Barbie & Chelsea: The Lost Birthday (2021)
  • Barbie & Stacie to the Rescue (2023)
  • Barbie Big City Big Dreams (2020)
  • Barbie Dolphin Magic (2017)
  • Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures (2018)
  • Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures: Go Team Roberts (2020)
  • Barbie Epic Road Trip (2022)
  • Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse (2012)
  • Barbie Mermaid Power (2022)
  • Barbie Princess Adventure (2020)
  • Barbie: A Touch of Magic (2024)
  • Barbie: It Takes Two (2022)
  • Barbie: Skipper and the Big Babysitting Adventure (2023)

Elsewhere from Mattel, we’re still waiting to hear about the future of Hot Wheels Let’s Race, which burst onto Netflix in March 2024 and went on feature in the global TV top 10s for four weeks, accumulating over 46.60 million hours watched, equating to 11.6M views. Likewise, there is no word on the future of Masters of the Universe: Revolution, which debuted with its first five episodes earlier this year, but it certainly sounds like that is due for a comeback.
