Season 4 of Ginny & Georgia has been in the works for a long time, with the renewal confirmed alongside season 3 all the way back in 2023 after season 2 launched. Season 3 has now been out in the wild for a while, so what’s happening with season 4? We just got an update on the production schedule and its expected release date.
While an exact filming start has yet to be confirmed, filming is expected to resume in Toronto (its filming home since season 1) sometime in Summer 2025 (between now and mid-September), with a filming wrap date currently set for February 23, 2026. The show also has a new working title. Previously, the show has operated under the names Common Ground and Tulips and Tuxes. For season 4, its new codename will be Good Company.
Previously, in an interview with Collider, star Brianne Howley told the outlet that filming will start “later this year.”
What does that mean for the release date? Well, it took 100 days between filming wrap and release on season 3, and if that applies here, that’d mean the show would return to our screens sometime around June 2026. Season 2 did take substantially longer, though, so if it follows that schedule, it’ll be more towards the end of the year. The sooner the better in our books!
This is the first major update on season 4 since February 2025, when the Instagram account of the writers announced it that season 4 had begun its writing room.

Show creator and showrunner Lampert has told Netflix that the central theme of season 4 will be “Cycles and Origins,” with cast members teasing that they expect their characters to continue evolving.
Season 3 Continues Strong in the Netflix Top 10s
While on the subject of Ginny & Georgia, how well is season 3 performing in the Netflix top 10s? While we’ve covered the performance in our Top 10 Reports, here’s a quick recap. The show has now featured for all three weeks it has been eligible and is the biggest returning show of 2025 so far, beating out The Night Agent and XO, Kitty (quite handsomely too).
Ginny and Georgia: Season 3 has garnered 450,600,000 viewing hours globally between June 1st and June 22nd, equating to 42,600,000 total views.
Stacking up seasons 2 and 3 (this graph will update over time), you can see that Season 3 is actually tracking pretty well against Season 2, which had a slightly shorter runtime at 9 hours and 47 minutes compared to the 10 hours and 34 minutes for Season 3. Given the two-year wait for the show to return, that’s a remarkable achievement given that most shows we’ve noted drop dramatically after a wait of that long.
What about the future beyond season 4? It’s a little early to be talking about a season 5 renewal right now, but don’t count an early one out either. We’ll keep our ears to the ground for more as and when we get it.
