Netflix Games is on a roll and is about to tee off with a new mini-golf game that’ll incorporate some of their biggest IP, including Stranger Things, Squid Game, and Bridgerton

Continuing Netflix’s strong push into games on your television after pulling back from its mobile releases, we’ve seen a slew of titles added over the past year. From favorites like Boggle, Overcooked, and Jackbox Party Essentials to recent additions of its tie-in with the FIFA World Cup and the horror game Unhinged from its internal studio Night School Games, it’s been a solid push thus far.

In what is technically their third golf game (they released the mobile game Wonderput Forever which was removed in December 2025 and a Happy Gilmore 2 crossover demo) Netflix has just debuted: Netflix Minigolf.

Developed by Next Games (the Finland-based studio Netflix acquired back in 2022), Netflix Minigolf is being billed as a chaotic new party game for your TV. The core concept? Think classic minigolf smashed together with the mechanics of pinball, and then doused heavily in some of Netflix’s biggest original IPs.

When the game drops on July 28th, you’ll be putting your way through over 60 different levels set across three massive Netflix universes: Stranger ThingsSquid Game, and Bridgerton. Expect to visit some iconic locations across the three IPs plus special effects such as Eleven’s Eggos being used as confetti when you win a round and obstacles that’ll have you avoiding the gaze of Young-hee or the clutches of Demogorgon.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect from the new release:

  • No Console Required: Like other Netflix Games on TV, you won’t need a bulky controller or extra hardware. You simply boot up the game on your TV, scan a QR code, and use your smartphone along with up to three others as the controller to putt.
  • The “Pranks” Mechanic: Players can collect “Pranks” on each hole and unleash them during an opponent’s turn to cause absolute mayhem. As the developer notes, “Controlled chaos is a legitimate strategy,” meaning the lowest score won’t always guarantee a win.

As with Netflix’s other TV games they’re not quite rolled out globally yet. Per the latest from the Netflix Help page: “Games are currently available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. More countries will be added in the future.”

This feels like a smart move for Netflix’s gaming division. We’ve talked extensively here at What’s on Netflix about how the streamer needs to leverage its own massive franchises to drive engagement in its games, and mashing up Bridgerton and Stranger Things into a casual, accessible TV party game fits that bill perfectly.
