Ready to dive in? Let’s take a look.
There’s still a lot to look forward to throughout the remainder of May 2025. We just got word of a bunch more titles coming up, including kids’ titles like Peppa Pig and LEGO Friends, movies like Paddington in Peru, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and the Korean movie The Match.
What to Watch on Netflix This Weekend
FireAid Benefit Concert (2025)
Rating: TV-MA
Language: English
Director: Martin Pasetta, Joe DeMaio, Joel Gallen
Runtime: 360 min / 6h 0m
Picture via Netflix
Earlier this year, some of the most prominent artists in the world came together to perform to raise money for the victims of the Los Angeles wildfires that caused devastation across the city at the beginning of the year. The effort was a big collaboration across multiple broadcasters and streamers. Although Netflix did stream the concert originally, it wasn’t on the main Netflix website but rather confined to an embed on Netflix TUDUM.
All six hours of the two concerts at the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum (the same location as TUDUM, FYI) featured the most prominent performers and legends from music history. Among the biggest global superstars and legends from the list are Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Sting, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stevie Nicks, Earth, Wind & Fire, Joni Mitchell, Green Day, and No Doubt. Among current major stars, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Baby, Pink, John Mayer, and Anderson .Paak. Netflix has the rights to the concert through January 31st, 2026.
The Eternaut (Season 1)
Number of episodes: 6
Rating: TV-MA
Language: Spanish
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama
Director: Bruno Stagnaro
Cast: Ricardo Darín, Carla Peterson, César Troncoso, Andrea Pietra, Ariel Staltari, Marcelo Subiotto
One of the best things about Netflix is that they can make massive swings all around the world and bring stories to your living room that would’ve otherwise gone untold. This week, The Eternaut burst onto Netflix, and while it’s got a mixed reaction, you can’t deny the ambition. Serving as the first screen adaptation of the iconic Argentine sci-fi graphic novel of the same name, the series follows Juan Salvo and his friends embarking on their journey of survival after a mysterious snowfall kills most of the population. It’s atmospheric, well-produced, and visually stunning.
In our review for the series, we gave it a 3-star rating, concluding, “A visually dazzling rendition of a snowed-in Buenos Aires and a strong flair for drama, The Eternaut runs high on emotions. But it may be set back by the audience fatigue and well-trodden themes of post-apocalyptic movies and shows.”
The Four Seasons
Number of episodes: 8
Rating: TV-MA
Language: English
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Cast: Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani
Netflix’s first big English-language series of the month dropped on the first, and it’s one that the streamer has been doing a lot of press for. We’re referring to the new reboot/remake of The Four Seasons, which first landed in cinemas back in the 1980s. Updated for the modern day, the series largely follows the same plot: three couples are vacationing together across four different seasons of the year, but there’s been a wrench thrown into their plans: one of the couples is on the verge of a big breakup. Comedy royalty makes up the cast of the new eight-episode series, which the streamer suspects might be one of their Emmy plays for this year, and reviews from audiences and critics seem to suggest they may have a winner.
The Twilight Saga
Cast: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Billy Burke
Picture: Lionsgate Films
As part of Netflix’s first-of-the-month refresh, the streamer has added a wave of licensed movies, and among the biggest this May is the full Twilight saga. The five-film franchise, which once ruled the box office and became a cultural phenomenon, is now available in its entirety. Based on Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling novels, the series follows Bella Swan as she’s pulled into the supernatural world of vampires, werewolves, and centuries-old rivalries. While often the subject of parody, the saga remains beloved by fans and offers the kind of nostalgic, binge-worthy escape perfect for a weekend watch.
To watch the Twilight movies in order, follow the release (and chronological) order below:
- Twilight (2008)
- The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)
- The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)
- The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011)
- The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012)
We do have some bad news: you only have a couple of months to watch the movie series on Netflix, with all four entries set to expire on July 1st, 2025. On the other hand, Netflix is still full steam ahead on a new animated series that adapts Stephanie Meyer’s Midnight Sun.
