After a successful film release in May and the release of the series in June, the Malibu Rescue franchise has already gained its own loyal fan following with many hoping the series will be returning for a second outing. But has Malibu Rescue been renewed for a second season? let’s find out.

Malibu Rescue: The Series is a Netflix Original kids-TV shows created by Pacific Bay Entertainment. The series acts as a sequel to the film Malibu Rescue that has been released a month prior in May 2019. Netflix had already made plenty of Original TV shows for kids too which Malibu Rescue is the thirteenth overall. Many fans will be hoping the series has more longevity than that of Richie Rich.

After earning their tower for the Summer the kids from The Valley and Tyler are now junior lifeguards. Together they must prove they have what it takes to keep the beach safe and prove to the snobby kids that they are the ultimate lifeguard time.

Malibu Rescue Season 2 Netflix Renewal Status

Official Netflix Renewal Status: Pending (Last Updated: 10/06/2019)

Renewal is likely but we aren’t expecting to see any news on a potential Season 2 until of least July. Kids TV show are not excluded from the average month wait time that Netflix has for renewing titles. The series is immensely popular among younger audiences (unsurprising) so we are definitely expecting renewal to happen.
