The House of Flowers is Netflix’s August Spanish drama series that debuted this summer and if you’re wondering whether there’s going to be a season 2 and when it’ll be on Netflix, we’ve got you covered. Here’s what we know about season 2.

The show slipped onto Netflix in August and although it didn’t quite get the media attention it deserved, it’s very much worthy of your time. Netflix has been releasing some great Spanish language series as of late with the likes of Cable Girls and Ingobernable and this is no exception.

The series is basically a Spanish equivalent of Bloodline, another highly rated Netflix drama. The series consists of a family going to many lengths to try and cover up the father of the families affair with a maid. It’s dubbed as a dark comedy.

The series came to Netflix around the world on August 10th, 2018 and premiered with 13 episodes.

Season 2 Renewal Status

Official renewal status: Renewed for two additional seasons (last updated: December 15th, 2018)

The series was renewed two months after the first season premiered. Not only did the announcement of season 2 come, it also led the way for season three to also get greenlit.

The series was renewed alongside a bunch of other announced Spanish shows both renewed and set to debut throughout 2018 and beyond.

When will season 2 of The House of Flowers be on Netflix?

Dramas and dark comedies like The House of Flowers are renewed often to release on a yearly cycle particularly when they’re character heavy. Other Spanish language titles have also released on an annual basis.

That means we’re currently expecting (should the show get renewed for season 2 within the first few months of the show airing) that the second series will release on Netflix in summer 2019 at the very earliest.
