Welcome to your weekly breakdown of the global Netflix Top 10s, covering the viewing numbers for the week of July 6th to July 12th, 2026. It’s a mixed bag for the streamer this week as we unpack the decidedly middle-of-the-road debut for their big Little House on the Prairie adaptation, dissect a surprisingly steep second-week viewership collapse for Enola Holmes 3, and try to figure out why Netflix executives seem to have a personal vendetta against the cruise ship industry. But before we dive into the data…
Apologies for the lateness of this top 10 report. Netflix was rather slow with uploading the official numbers to the website and download. Overnight, assuming they hit the computer in charge of calculating the numbers with a big hammer, they sprung up.
How does this week stack up dating back to June 2023? Let’s take a look:
- English TV: 44,100,000 Views (Rank 95 of 160 weeks)
- English Film: 57,900,000 Views (Rank 141 of 160 weeks)
- Non-English TV: 31,100,000 Views (Rank 52 of 160 weeks)
- Non-English Film: 23,200,000 Views (Rank 124 of 160 weeks)
1. Little House on the Prairie Debuts Not That Strong

Netflix’s write-up suggests that Little House on the Prairie had a “strong debut” but does its 6.4M views it picked up in four days really back that up? Not particularly. Its debut putting it right around the middle of the pack in terms of series debuts in recent years with it on part with The Residence and Territory (both of which were canceled due to performance). It’s doing well for a family period drama but there’s not all that many comparisons to be made in this space. The Abandons debuted stronger but was canceled due to external factors. House of Guinness is another strong comparison which it did get over 1M more views.
There were some early warning signs that the series might have a soft debut given that it only debuted to #4 on the global daily charts (per FlixPatrol) but is now sitting at #2 as of July 14th.
The heartfelt pioneer drama is performing best across Europe, Oceania, and the Anglosphere, securing the #1 spot in massive territories like France, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand, while enjoying a steady reign near the top of the charts in the US, the UK, and Brazil although I Will Find You, several weeks later, is still holding strong.
However, the Ingalls family is facing a steep uphill battle penetrating the Asian market—a region historically dominated by K-dramas and anime—barely scraping the bottom of the Top 10 lists this week in countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. Combined with a surprisingly muted reception in specific Central and South American pockets like Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru, it’s clear that while Netflix’s investment in wholesome, recognizable IP is a certified slam dunk in Western markets, it is struggling to cross the cultural divide in the East.
Season 2 is already a go and in production so most of this analysis is mute but will this go to season 3 and beyond? Less clear.
2. Enola Holmes 3 In Week 2
Enola Holmes 3 viewership collapsed in its first full week with viewing hours dropping 42% from its opening five days over the July 4th holiday.
Despite the advantage of a Wednesday release, Enola Holmes 3 is still lagging significantly behind its predecessor, trailing Enola Holmes 2 by a stark 25.4 million total views at the end of its second week. Over its first 12 days of availability, the third installment has accumulated 32.7 million total views, compared to the impressive 58.1 million views Enola Holmes 2 racked up in just 10 days following its traditional Friday launch. When breaking these numbers down to account for their different launch windows, the drop in viewership momentum becomes even more glaring: Enola Holmes 2 averaged a robust 5.81 million views per day out of the gate, while Enola Holmes 3 is pulling in less than half of that, averaging just 2.73 million daily views.
3. Avatar: The Last Airbender S2 in Week 3
Avatar: The Last Airbender isn’t picking up any significant pace on season 1 with the views now down 54% season over season. As we’ve been covering though, the first season has seen a bigger resurgence than normal although viewing hours did collapse 78% this week.
4. Netflix Vs. The Cruise Ship Industry
Some Netflix executive on the unscripted side really has a bone to pick with the cruise ship industry given that Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea is just the latest instalment tackling subjects over the past few years. With 9M views it’s a middling start for a documentary feature Friday release although we can see from the daily top 10s that its momentum is picking up.
