Welcome back to our weekly breakdown of the global top 10 numbers from Netflix! This week is a tale of two extremes: the animated family film Swapped is absolutely destroying the charts and breaking records for the best initial launch, while highly anticipated debuts like Remarkably Bright Creatures and the British series Legends are off to mixed to sluggish starts although it depends on what you compare against for the former. We also have returning favorites like Worst Ex Ever and The Chestnut Man to dig into.
Before we get into this week, a couple more upgrades to talk about! We’ve had a long-standing relationship with FlixPatrol, which accurately captures daily top 10s across all Netflix regions worldwide, and we’re using that data more effectively on our site. We’ve got a new global most popular widget on our homepage, plus we’ve updated our most popular page with info about whether a title is going up or down in the charts and the ability to track performance over time. Have a play!

We won’t be covering Lord of the Flies this week because it only released in the United States, so there are very few comps for that. Still, cracking the top 10s is a very good effort. We should also give a shoutout to Funny AF with Kevin Hart, which saw its semifinals go live on Netflix and managed to get into the top 10s, whereas the pre-recorded episodes before it didn’t.
Now, into the weekly ranking for this week’s Netflix top 10s across all four categories, dating back to June 2023:
- English TV: 47,900,000 views (Rank 72 of 151 weeks)
- English Film: 88,500,000 views (Rank 33 of 151 weeks)
- Non-English TV: 24,100,000 views (Rank 108 of 151 weeks)
- Non-English Film: 25,100,000 views (Rank 109 of 151 weeks)
1. Swapped Breaks Netflix Record for Best Initial Launch
Swapped is the number 1 movie this week, and it’s killing it, with a 150% increase in viewing hours from its opening weekend to its first full week. That’s not entirely surprising, given that it’s topped the daily charts all week and will likely show strong resilience in the weeks to come, as it’s clearly struck a chord with families.
The only title not in the chart below is Leo, which launched over Thanksgiving back in late 2023 but notably on a Tuesday. Still, we estimate that around the 10-day mark, it will be around 48 million views, meaning Swapped has easily cleared it!
Of course, the major caveat—and the elephant in the room regarding this statistic—is KPop: Demon Hunters. As we’ve covered many times, that movie defied all expectations and traditional viewership metrics. While 99% of movies and series experience a standard drop-off after their premiere, K-Pop: Demon Hunters maintained remarkable, steady viewership for months. It continues to rank in the weekly Top 10 to this day, having just surpassed an incredible 1 billion hours watched.
Unless Swapped can pull out an astronomical performance, we should see it level out in weeks 3-6:
2. Remarkably Bright Creatures

One movie that has been struggling in the daily top 10s since its debut on Friday, despite some glowing reviews across the board, including one of our own and a huge push from Netflix TUDUM, it’s a relatively low debut for Remarkably Bright Creatures with Sally Field, but we suspect word of mouth should carry it a little higher in week 2.
Let’s compare it to all the 2026 movie debuts so far to see how that performance stacks up at 10.4M views in its opening 3 days:
How about some other comparisons? We’ve chosen some drama-heavy or more prestigious star-drive plays:
3. Legends Struggles In Opening Week
The British series Legends got off to a slow start in the top 10s but has been rising over the past few days and, most importantly, has been topping the daily charts in the UK, but with 3.4M views, it’s sadly one of the weaker debuts for Netflix UK in recent years.
4. Worst Ex Ever Returns With Season 2
Blumhouse’s Worst Roommate Ever spin-off following people’s exes is back this week and debuted with 8M views, just a few hundred thousand shy of the first season, which launched in August 2024.
5. The Chestnut Man Returns With Season 2

Returning five years after the first season touched down on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021, we saw a newly renamed second season touch down on Thursday (making a 1:1 comp hard), but we can tell you that it did debut lower with season 1 debut in its opening week to 5.7M views, and this second season debuting to 2.6M views.
Not for the first time, European crime drama series, which could’ve been limited series but chose to return, are struggling to retain viewership, but given the length of time here, it’s not surprising. That said, one positive outcome is that the first season has returned to the top 10s this week, in the #10 spot.
6. My Dearest Assassin From Netflix Thailand
A hit for Netflix Thailand! Debuting at the number 1 spot on the non-English film chart, it topples The Whole Truth, which sat at 5.7M views for its opening four days by nearly double.
7. Thank You, Next From Netflix Turkey
Netflix Turkey is debuting a bunch of third seasons for some of its biggest hits, and on the surface, season 3 returned quite strongly compared to season 2, but when you consider its runtime dropped from 6 hours to just under 5 hours, that puts it into a bit more perspective.
(No interactive graph for this one because the title has a comma in it and I haven’t figured out how to fix that bug!)
8. Apex Closing In On The Rip
Thanks to lots of viral clips and online chatter, Apex is doing incredibly well in the top 10s still and is actually closing in on The Rip which was at 96.6M views in week 3, whereas Apex is now at 94.6M:
9. Man on Fire boosted 15% in Week 2
Last week, we placed Man on Fire firmly in Netflix’s mid-tier performers among similar action-led series, and this week that continues to be the case, though it has slipped a little behind Black Doves, whereas it ranked above it last week. Given how expensive this series was, its future is firmly down to metrics we don’t get to see, but hopefully, we’ll hear more soon.
