Every now and then, Netflix gives a show or movie its full support, clearing the decks clean and giving the show almost an entire week of spotlight. This week, that show is the final season of Squid Game, the K-drama series that occupies both spots on the non-English most-watched shows of all time and is Netflix’s biggest international show of all time.
While this week may be quieter than normal, with only 10 scheduled titles set to drop, July 2025 is shaping up to be an incredibly busy month. We should get a better idea of what’s coming up this Wednesday, so keep your eyes peeled.
Looking at the removals this week, there are a few things to keep an eye on before they depart. As we’ve previously reported, two major Netflix Originals are leaving, including the excellent limited series Stateless starring Yvonne Strahovski (note that you’ll need a premium tier of Netflix to watch) and the Polish title Signs. Elsewhere, this week will also be your last chance to watch TUDUM 2025 on Netflix as it departs on Sunday.
What to Watch on Netflix This Week
Squid Game (Season 3)
Coming to Netflix: Friday
It shouldn’t be surprising that Netflix is throwing all its muscle into the third and final season of Squid Game, which thankfully is arriving much sooner after season 2 over the Christmas break than the wait between seasons 1 and 2. After the fiery events of the season 2 finale, our hero is still in the games, and these next rounds promise to be even more deadly than those that have come before them.
While some spoilers from the final season have leaked, others haven’t. In fact, there’s still a couple we think fans are absolutely going to want to check out come Friday. More when we can say more!
Expect Squid Game to infect your feeds, favorite websites, and social media all throughout the week – this is going to go out with a bang.
The Royals (Seasons 1-2)
Coming to Netflix: Thursday

As we reported last week, Netflix is continuing its Summer licensing binge with some big pickups. One of the series we suspect may make an impression on the US top 10s next week is the overlooked and underrated scripted series from E!, which also served as the network’s first show a decade ago. Coming from the creator of the well-known CW show One Tree Hill, the series stars Elizabeth Hurley, William Moseley, Alexandra Park, Merritt Patterson, and Vincent Regan.
The official synopsis of the series, which ran for 40 episodes, reads: “The Royals follows the lives of a fictional British Royal family that inhabits a world of opulence, lust, sizzling scandal, and regal tradition – a world that also comes with a price tag of duty, destiny and intense public scrutiny.”
Miracles from Heaven (2016)
Coming to Netflix: Friday
A light week this week when it comes to new (licensed) movies, but one that caught our eye is Miracles from Heaven, a Christian drama from nearly a decade ago that’s headlined by Jennifer Garner, who has several projects on Netflix exclusively right now and a number in development. The faith-based movie tells the story of the Beam family with a mother and family having to cope with the news that their daughter, Anna, has developed a rare, incurable disease, and with all hope lost of a cure, something miraculous happens.
It’s a touching story that’s received rave reviews following its release and into recent years. Virgin River’s Martin Henderson stars alongside John Carroll Lynch
Kylie Rogers with Eugenio Derbez and Queen Latifah.
