Hbo Disney Shows Netflix Removal Schedule

Beginning in June 2025, all Disney and HBO shows that have been added to Netflix in the US over the past few years will begin to be removed from the service. Below, we provide a comprehensive guide to which HBO and Disney (ABC, Fox, FX) shows are currently available on Netflix, along with their scheduled departure dates.

Important note: All of these titles are subject to licensing renewals, meaning that Netflix could opt to pay to keep titles on longer.

When will HBO Shows Leave Netflix US?

Band Of Brothers Netflix

In mid-2023, the unspeakable happened. HBO licensed some of its shows to Netflix. At the time, it wasn’t announced how long the license was going to be, but we now know that each title was licensed on a 24-month (2-year) basis, and those departures begin in July 2025, starting with Issa Rae’s comedy series Insecure.

When will Disney Shows Leave Netflix?

In December 2023, it was announced that Netflix had struck a deal with Disney to bring 14 of its shows from across various divisions, including Fox, ABC, and FX, to Netflix between January 2024 and February 2025. As announced at the time, these titles will each remain on Netflix for a period of 18 months before being removed. Given that we’re now hitting July 2025, the first one is now set to leave.

Where can you watch these shows once they leave Netflix? Much like the HBO shows, all of these Disney shows were licensed to Netflix non-exclusively, in addition to Disney’s own streaming services, meaning that the majority of them can be found on Hulu or Disney+.

Don’t forget that in addition to these titles from HBO and Disney leaving the streamer, all the AMC titles will begin bleeding off of Netflix in August 2025, too. We have reached out to AMC representatives for more details on whether they intend to renew any of their shows, but they have not responded.

Which HBO or Disney show will you be checking out before they leave Netflix? Let us know in the comments.
