October is going to be a particularly grueling month for TV series departures on Netflix in the United States. In a one-off special, we’ll be reviewing all the major English-language series set to depart throughout October, giving you a heads-up and a chance to watch or rewatch them before it’s too late.
Of course, there are many new series on the way throughout October. Netflix US is getting updates to Dark Winds, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, in addition to updates for NCIS, as well as the return of Nurse Jackie and the debut of The Way Home, among others.
Please note: All of these removal dates are subject to change. A full list of October 2025 Netflix US departures can be found here.
White Collar

In 2024, Netflix struck a new agreement with Disney to bring some of its biggest shows from its library to the streamer. That meant titles like Lost, Prison Break, and yes, White Collar all came to the service for a limited time. That limited time period is 18 months, and over the summer, we’ve started seeing many of those shows depart, and White Collar is next on the chopping block.
Airing on USA Network between 2009 and 2014, the show was actually a return for Netflix, given that it had streamed it throughout the latter part of the last decade. Starring Matt Bomer, the series follows a con-artist getting a shot at a new life after being caught in an FBI chase and uses his skills to help capture other criminals. Think The Black List.
Rubble & Crew
Serving as a spin-off to the incredibly popular PAW Patrol, Rubble & Crew first debuted on Netflix in December 2024, and after a year and a bit, a notice has been showing that the series will be available until October 2nd. Produced by Spin Master, the series airs first on Nickelodeon and follows the pup Rubble and his canine crew who take on construction projects in the town of Builder Cove.
In recent days, the removal notice has stopped showing, so hopefully, a last-minute deal will be reached to keep it streaming alongside PAW Patrol, which finally made its Netflix US debut earlier this year. Even better, fingers crossed, a deal can be reached for more seasons of the show to come to Netflix.
Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood

There’s a bunch of Netflix Original departures planned for October, and the big series among them is Oktoberfest: Beer and Blood, which is departing Netflix after five years. Set across six episodes, the festive drama is set in 1900 Munich, where ambitious brewer Curt Prank uses brutal tactics on his quest to build a beer hall that will dominate the city’s lucrative Oktoberfest. Mišel Matičević, Martina Gedeck, and Klaus Steinbacher headline.
Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber
Picture: Showtime
One of two major limited series leaving Netflix with significant star power, Super Pumped, is a drama series that documents the rise of the controversial Uber CEO, who took the idea of a ride-hailing app from a mere concept to one of the world’s largest apps. Joseph Gordon-Levitt leads the cast, with Kyle Chandler and Kerry Bishe also amongst the cast.
The series has been streaming for quite some time now, having first touched down in October 2023, meaning you’ve had two years to give it a try. If you’ve missed out thus far, though, and love titles like The Social Network or The Big Short, this should be on your radar.
Killing Eve
Netflix acquired this BBC America show in April 2024, with Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer being the major draws. After 18 months, a notice has been displaying in recent weeks (with Unogs and NewonNetflix continuing to suggest it’ll depart), suggesting it might be leaving us in mid-October. The black-comedy spy thriller follows a British spy’s mission, which turns perilous as intrigue spirals into obsession with a playful yet stylish assassin, whose ruthless streak hides ties to a shadowy organization.
Much like Rubble & Crew mentioned earlier, a notice on the Killing Eve page is currently only showing in limited circumstances, which could be a result of AMC’s recent deal with Netflix extending the license to many of its shows. We’re led to believe this might have scored an extension, but we’ll keep you posted.
Escape at Dannemora
Before Ben Stiller took the world by storm with his directing on the Apple TV+ series Severance, he worked with Showtime on this terrific 8-episode mini-series that was first released in 2018 but finally had its chance to shine on Netflix beginning in October 2024. Only a year later, the series is now due to depart.
Headlined by Benicio Del Toro, Patricia Arquette, Paul Dano, and Bonnie Hunt, the series is set in a correctional facility in New York, with the plot surrounding a seamstress who becomes bizarrely enthralled with two inmates, eventually leading to their attempted escape.
The Family Business
Picture: BET
BET stopped licensing to Netflix in recent years, although one of the main exceptions has been The Family Business. This excellent crime drama series depicts the patriarch of a family empire looking to pass on the torch. It’s based on the novels of Carl Weber, with Ernie Hudson headlining the cast. The series has been streaming for two years, with four seasons first touching down in October 2023.
Sadly, although a fifth season did air on BET+ last year, it has never made its way to Netflix. Now, all 42 episodes of the first four seasons are leaving Netflix.
In addition to the series listed above, some reality titles like Ghost Hunters, American Ninja Warrior, and its spin-off American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs. Ninja are also departing. There are also two other major Netflix Original series leaving, including the Russian series To The Lake and the kids’ series Some Assembly Required.
Which of these series are you going to watch before they depart? Let us know in the comments.
