Netflix has some of the best anime series there is to watch but it’s sorely lacking in the anime movie department with competitors Crunchyroll and Hulu Plus beating them to the punch. However a new deal came to light today with Studio 4°C.

The new deal will give Netflix global distribution to several of its back catalogue. The deal coincides with Netflix’s official launch in Japan which is a huge deal for anime fans as it’ll give Netflix a much bigger reason for buying up anime movies and series in the future.

September 2nd

  • Princess Arete (2001)
  • MIND GAME (2004)
  • Genius Party (2007)
  • Genius Party Beyond (2008)

September 15th (Preliminary date)

  • Tweeny Witches (1 Series – 6 Episodes)

These titles will be available in all English speaking language regions as well as Japan, Latin America (except Brazil and excludes Tweeny Witches).
