Welcome to a slightly belated full top 10 report covering all the biggest stories from the top 10s. It’s late, thanks to an injury (it’s lamer than that, actually) and Netflix updating its website much later. We’ve already touched on the biggest story in a separate article, but what about all the other movies and series that featured last week?
This week, we’ll cover Selling Sunset, Ballad of a Small Player, Breathless, Amsterdam Empire, Monster: The Ed Gein Story, The Diplomat, Nobody Wants This, and more!
Full List of Netflix Top 10s for October 27 to November 2, 2025
Before we get into it, here’s how this week compares to weeks prior, dating back to June 2023, and the full top 40:
English TV: 39,500,000 (Rank 95 of 124 weeks)
English Film: 85,800,000 (Rank 30 of 124 weeks)
Non-English TV: 35,700,000 (Rank 22 of 124 weeks)
Non-English Film: 31,600,000 (Rank 77 of 124 weeks)
Also, a few notable missing titles from the top 10s this week that had their debuts. Son of a Donkey, the Australian comedy series based on the YouTube sketch channel, did not feature. However, that’s not entirely surprising given that its popularity and interest are likely very much confined to down under.
We’ve already done a deep dive on The Witcher season 4, but to put it plainly, there’s a reason season 5 is going to be the last. With the budget this show commanded, it’s fortunate it even got that. The new season debuted to a disastrous 7.4M views, down big time from prior seasons, even with a couple of caveats. However, you dress this one up, though, this The Witcher will go down in Netflix’s history as one of the biggest fumbles. Oof.

2. Ballad of a Small Player debuts low
Prestige titles so far in 2025 have been struggling to gain traction, and the new Colin Farrell/Tilda Swinton movie Ballad of a Small Player is continuing that trend. It dropped on Wednesday, so there are fewer comps from this year, but still, with just 6.9M views in week 1, it’s not a great start.

3. Breathless Struggles With Season 2
Another show returning with a whopping 50%+ drop in week 1 views is Breathless, which premiered on Halloween. The Spanish medical drama was given a swift season 2 renewal, but whether the same happens for season 3 is now up in the air…

4. Selling Sunset is back and isn’t slowing down (with a small caveat)…
That’s three bad trends on the trot, so let’s change things up. Another one of Netflix’s long-running reality series returned for its ninth season last week, and much like Love is Blind, it is easily going to cross past the 10-season milestone with its opening 4.2M views. The only caveat here is that it was released quite a bit earlier than other seasons (like season 4 did), but it’s showing incredible resilience, and even with the extra days, it’s still tracking alongside all the other seasons.

5. Amsterdam Empire Also Struggles
Back to bad news! Amsterdam Empire, a new series with Hollywood star Famke Janssen, failed to gain much traction, with only 2.5M in its opening week. We certainly didn’t contribute to any positive sentiment, given that our own Florian gave it a scathing review (to the point where I had to double-check the 1-star score was a typo). The series does a little to set up a future instalment, but with this debut, it’s not a given we’ll be seeing any more.

6. Nobody Wants This Gets A Season 3 Renewal
Picture: Netflix
Last night, Netflix confirmed what had been widely expected: Nobody Wants This will indeed return for a third season. Looking at the stats, the show has lost a bit of traction compared to season 1 in week 2, with views rising nearly 10%, but it’s still doing very well at 18M views in 2 weeks.

The Diplomat season 3 is now in its third week and is tracking incredibly close to season 2 in terms of viewership, perhaps justifying the early season 4 renewal.

Last week, we declared that Monster: The Ed Gein Story had lost the race against the two prior Monster(s) seasons, and that remains the case and even more profound as we hit week 5.

A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE may have drawn plenty of fire, but it saw a massive 42% bump in week 2, which should probably be expected given it started among the middle of the pack of 2025 movies as we covered last week. We suspect this one might have legs so when comparing against some other 2025 movies, it may soon rise to the top of the pile in the weeks to come.
