When and where did production take place?
All the filming for Beats took place in Chicago.
Principal photography began in June and ran throughout the summer. Filming ended in September, and post-production on the film began on the 6th of September 2018.
It’s surprising how long it’s taken for the film to be released, considering post-production began in September of last year. This unofficial delay in the release may have been down to the fact that the film has original music created by Chicago-based artists.
