Netflix’s latest Original film Beats will definitely be hitting the right note for some audiences out there. Beats is an upcoming Netflix Original coming-of-age drama directed by Chris Robinson. The film’s screenplay was written by Miles Orion Feldsott (Deadly Class). 51 Minds Entertainment is the production company behind the creation of Beats. The music from the Chicago scene has notably been one of the greatest influences surrounding the story.

What is the plot of Beats?

The plot for Beats is as follows:

Confined to the demons of their past a musical prodigy has struggled throughout life with borderline agoraphobia meanwhile a music manager has hit rock bottom after his fall from grace. As the pair collide they must help each other overcome their demons and propel each other to success.

When and where did production take place?

All the filming for Beats took place in Chicago.

Principal photography began in June and ran throughout the summer. Filming ended in September and post-production on the film began on the 6th September 2018.

It’s surprising how long it’s taken for the film to be released considering post-production began in September of last year. This unofficial delay in the release may have been down to the fact that the film has original music created by Chicago-based artists.

Very little promotional material has been released for beats.
