If there’s one thing we know that subscribers love, it’s dark comedy. What should have grabbed your attention by now, if it hasn’t already, is the upcoming release of Dead to Me, starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini. Dead to Me is an upcoming Netflix Original black comedy created by Liz Feldman. The series has also been written by Liz Feldman, who is well known for her work as a writer on 2 Broke Girls and Ellen DeGeneres Show, in which she won multiple Emmy Awards (Four in total!). Feldman has also taken on the role of executive producer, along with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.


What is the plot of Dead to Me?

After the sad and violent death of her husband, Jeff, Jen is bitter and angry at the world. When Jen meets Judy, who’s also a widow but not as high-strung as Jen, a strong and powerful friendship soon blossoms between the pair. But as Jen allows Judy’s friendship to become an integral part of her life, unbeknownst to Jen, Judy hides a dark and shocking secret.

Christina Applegate’s role in Dead to Me is her first lead role in a series since Up All Night ended in 2012. Applegate is also well known for starring as the lead in Samantha Who and also had the role of Kelly Bundy in the American sitcom Married With Children.

This isn’t Linda Cardellini’s first rodeo on Netflix. Previously starring in Bloodline as Meg Rayburn, the actress took part in 33 episodes of the canceled Original. Dead to Me is the second series in which Cardellini stars. The talented actress has provided her voice to such shows as Robot Chicken, Gravity Falls, and The Regular Show.
