Like the Blue Sky drug-fueled addicts, we were left wanting more when Breaking Bad finished. After an epic finale to the show, no one was expecting to hear anything else from Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. But now we know more Breaking Bad is on the way and we are absolutely ecstatic to get more of our fix. Here’s everything we know so far on the upcoming Breakin Bad sequel.

Breaking Bad is an American-crime drama created by Vince Gilligan. Also directed by the creator, the series is regarded as one of the greatest shows in television history. Spoken in the same breath as The Wire, The Sopranos and Game of Thrones, it is a testament to just how incredible the show is. Winning numerous prestigious awards throughout its run, the show shot actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul to stardom. It’s a show that must be added to your watch list if you haven’t seen it already. With a reported film on the way, the internet has boarded the hype train.

Chemistry teacher Walter White is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Scared that he will leave his family with nothing but debt, he seeks to find a way to make a buck and fast. After discovering former chemistry pupil Jesse Pinkman cooks methamphetamine, he convinces him to help him create and distribute meth. Using an RV to create a meth lab on wheels, the product Walt makes is the purest anyone has ever seen.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad cast list

The following cast members have been confirmed to be reprising their roles for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie:

Role Cast Member Where have I seen/heard them before?
Jesse Pinkman Aaron Paul Breaking Bad, The Path, Bojack Horseman
Badger Matt Jones Home | Red State | The Night is Young
Mike Ehrmantraut Jonathan Banks Mudbound | Breaking Bad | Better Call Saul
Skinny Pete Charles Baker Breaking Bad | The Neon Demon | The Blacklist

Plenty of further cast members have been rumored to return to the film to their reprise their roles.

What to expect from El Camino: A Breaking Bad

As we know, the story will follow Jesse in the aftermath of his escape from Jack’s Crew. After being imprisoned and tortured by the Neo-Nazis and not to mention Walter’s manipulation, Jesse’s psyche will be in a dangerous place. With Jack and his follower’s dead (thanks to Walter) Jesse is of least safe from them.

While Jesse has managed to escape, how much the cops know of Jesse’s involvement is up for debate. If Jack failed to destroy any of the evidence Todd stole then Jesse’s confession and all of Hank’s notes will be found. Jesse was Walter White’s previous second-hand man so there could be a nationwide manhunt for Pinkman.

Jesse is now a damaged and broken man, with nothing to lose except his freedom.

Will Bryan Cranston be returning for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie?

While some like Revenge of the Fans have ‘confirmed’ the actor’s involvement, nothing is official. Bryan Cranston has publicly expressed his interest in taking part in the sequel and had the following to say:

If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely. He’s a genius. It’s a great story, and there’s a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some sort of completion to some of these storylines that were left open. This idea, from what I was told, gets into at least a couple of the characters who were not completed as far as their journey. I can’t wait to see all those people again…even if I just come by to visit!

Very interesting indeed! We do believe that Cranston will return in some way but it will likely be in the form of a flashback. If Walter does return a great idea would for Walt to appear and haunt Jesse but have different iterations appear to either berate or to comfort Jesse.
