Another season of the docu-series Rotten is on the way to Netflix in October 2019 with another batch of episodes that takes a look into the food industry and expose the corruption, waste, and dangers from the food industry. Here’s when and what we know about the second season.
Rotten first debuted on Netflix all the way back in 2018 in early January. The series, across the six episodes, took a look at the food industry or more to the point, the dirty secrets of the food industry. It covered a myriad of topics including looking at the production of peanuts, chicken production, milk, cod, and honey.
The series was well-received by both critics and Netflixers around the globe and remains one of the best docu-series Netflix has produced thus far.
The studio behind Rotten, Zero Point Zero Productions, is also behind some other hit Netflix shows. They produce Somebody Feed Phil, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction and an upcoming series that’s yet to be revealed.
What we know about season 2 of Rotten on Netflix
Six episodes will be making up season 2 of Rotten. Here’s what we can expect:

On September 20th, Netflix officially released the trailer for season 2 of Rotten where they revealed some of the topics that would be covered.
Season 2 of Rotten is due to arrive on Netflix on October 4th, 2019.
It arrives on the first Friday of the month alongside other big titles like Big Mouth (Season 3), Peaky Blinders (Season 5 – in the US) and Raising Dion (season 1). You can find the other October 2019 Netflix releases in our updating list.
Don’t forget another one of Netflix’s docu-series that looks at exposing big corporations, Dirty Money, will also soon be returning for a second season on Netflix although there’s been no official release date for that as of yet.
