After starring in Harlan Coben’s Fool Me Once (2024), Michelle Keegan is returning to the ‘Cobenverse’ in The Woods — and here’s the latest behind-the-scenes look at her on set.
After I Will Find You, Netflix’s next Harlan Coben drama is a UK-based adaptation of his 2007 novel, The Woods. Of course, the book has already seen a prior adaptation in 2020, with the 6-episode miniseries set in Warsaw, Poland. The new, extended 8-episode adaptation is set in the UK and headlined by Michelle Keegan (Fool Me Once) and Tom Bateman (Da Vinci’s Demons). It also stars Rade Sherbedgia (Slow Horses), James Buckley (The Inbetweeners), Mandeep Dhillon (MobLand), Shannon Watson (Outrageous), Dean Fagan (Missed Call), and Tom Allen (Titanique).
“What a thrill it is to collaborate again with the amazing Michelle Keegan,” Coben told Netflix. “And Tom [Bateman] is such a huge talent and the perfect leading man. You can’t take your eyes off either one of them. They are the ideal Paul and Lucy.”
Keegan takes on the role of Lucy Silverfield. “Lucy is a totally different character to Maya [her character in Fool Me Once],” Keegan teased. “She’s a little damaged and never found true peace. She believed that by moving away and having a successful career, she could escape the past, but somehow it never leaves her.”

But when the body of a man turns up — twenty years after he was supposedly murdered alongside Camille — Cope becomes convinced his sister may have made it out of the woods alive too. Determined to uncover the truth, Cope begins a search for answers, unearthing years of lies, cover-ups, and family secrets that threaten to destroy everything he has built.”
Of course, The Woods is the second Harlan Coben series starring Michelle Keegan. She previously headlined Fool Me Once, one of the highest-rated Coben adaptations on Netflix. She gained huge acclaim for the show, which was the most-watched series for the first half of 2024. The Woods is currently in production in North West England, specifically in the Manchester area. We’ve previously shared initial shots of Keegan on set, and now we have a new batch of snaps.

In these latest snaps, taken on Mount Street in Manchester, which has been designed to look like a university, we see Keegan wearing a navy blue blazer with white pinstripes and holding a brown bag.
Further images show Keegan’s character Lucy Silverfield an argument with a student named Sylvia.
Filming is ongoing on The Woods. The series will be the next Harlan Coben adaptation on Netflix.
