Turn Up Charlie is an upcoming Netflix Original comedy series created by Gary Reich and Idris Elba. In recent years Idris Elba has taken to the role of a producer alongside his acting career. Elba is also one of the executive producers of Turn Up Charlie. In real life, Idris Elba is lesser known for producing his own music as a DJ, which may have served as inspiration for the creation of the show.
Plot: Turn Up Charlie
Washed-up DJ and longtime bachelor Charlie is given the job of becoming a manny for his best friend’s daughter. Reluctantly, Charlie agrees, in the hope that his best friend’s connections may put him on the road to success.
