The Sinner – USA Network
USA Network’s The Sinner returned for a second season in 2018 and will be made available on Netflix in the United States and other regions where it’s carried as an Original. We’ve got the full release schedule for Netflix below.
The series comes from Jessica Biel and was one of the best series of 2018 scoring well with fans and critics alike. It’s a mix between USA Network’s previous The Returned series and shows like Twin Peaks and Mindhunter. The series was initially dubbed as a limited series but got renewed for season 2 much to the delight of fans.
Season 2 is set to shake up the show a little focusing on a brand new storyline from season 1 although quite a few characters will return. Here’s the official synopsis of season 2:
“Detective Harry Ambrose returns to his hometown in rural New York to assess an unsettling and heart-wrenching crime — parents murdered by their 11-year-old son with no apparent motive. As Ambrose realizes there’s nothing ordinary about the boy or where he came from, the investigation pulls him into the hidden darkness of his hometown. He’s pitted against those who will stop at nothing to protect its secrets — and the mysterious Vera, who proves to be a complicated, enigmatic piece to this haunting puzzle.”

USA Network Release Schedule
The first episode aired on USA Network on August 1st, 2018 with new episodes following every Wednesday for seven weeks to complete the eight-episode season.
Netflix Original Regions Release Date
Sadly, those that carry the show as a Netflix Original won’t be getting weekly episode drops as they do with other shows with USA Network such as Shooter. Instead, you’ll likely have to wait a couple of months after the series has wrapped before the notion of it getting added.
Regions that carry the show as an Original include mainland Europe, Australia, the United Kingdom, India, and Japan. Sadly, Canada hasn’t gotten The Sinner on Netflix yet so won’t be included for the season 2 drop either.
When will The Sinner season 2 be on Netflix US?
Updated (07/18/2019): Season 2 of The Sinner is coming to Netflix US on August 1st, 2019.
The United States is fairly low down in the pecking order. Season 1 was added on Netflix US roughly a month before season 2 came out.
