When will Season 5 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. be on Netflix?

Starting December 1st, Season 5 of Agents of Shield is airing on ABC. But this leaves many fans wondering when the latest season will be coming to Netflix. Below we will be using our knowledge to hopefully give you the best idea when season 5 will be added to the streaming service.

The last season of the show was added to Netflix back in June of 2017, as correctly suggested by our last article covering the fourth season. Season 4 was known as “The Ghost Rider Season” and despite the show starting all the way back in 2013, still received very good reviews, from critics and fans. For those not familiar with the show, Clark Gregg reprises his role as Agent Phil Coulson (The Avengers) who runs a team of Shield agents tasked with tracking down individuals with abnormal powers.

A new trailer for season 5 has just been released and gives us a great first look at where the season is going… “Not on Earth”, that’s for sure.

Before we get into when season 5 is coming to Netflix, let’s first take a look if Agents of Shield is set to stay on Netflix. The short answer is yes. We think it would be very unlikely for this ABC show to leave Netflix anytime in the near future, especially regarding the contract between ABC’s parent company Disney. Also, many of you probably know that Netflix has a number of Marvel series of their own, and the two companies seem to be in great standing at the moment.

Every season of the show has followed pretty similar release schedules and we estimate that season 5 will be concluding on ABC around May 2018. If the other years are anything to go by (and they are), we will be seeing the new season of Agents of Shield on Netflix just a month later in June 2018. Although, if June rolls past and we don’t see this happen, we might have to wait until September 2018, because that is when ABC updates most of their shows.

If you are situated in the United Kingdom you will know that you are unable to stream the show on Netflix. This is because Sky currently owns all the rights and has season 1-4 available on their streaming service NowTV.

Are you looking forward to season 5? Do you think June 2018 is too long to wait? Let us know in the comments below.
