Blood-curdling screams, crimson coloured blood-soaked floors and walls plus many frightened teenagers. It’s that time of your again to sink your knife into something juicy as we approach Halloween. Here’s the complete list of slasher Movies/TV Shows currently streaming on Netflix US and UK for Halloween 2018.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006)

Featured Videos - Article Continues Below...

Director: Jonathan Levine
Cast: Amber Heard, Whitney Able, Anson Mount, Michael Welch, Luke Grimes
Run Time/Episodes: 90 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.6/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 40%

After a pool party ended with the death of a student, Mandy Lane shook off her growing popularity and became a social outcast. A year later she is invited to a party in the Texan countryside to which she reluctantly agrees. Mandy’s friend Emmet, having suffered at the hands of bullies over the years, keeps an eye on Mandy as she draws more and more attention from the young males at the party. Soon the bodies start dropping as a killer is set loose on the teens.

Most would say that this the role that brought the attention of Hollywood to Amber Heard as she soon went on to appear in more prominent roles. While the movie doesn’t exactly fit into the top 10 list for slashers of all time it should definitely be on your watch list this Halloween.

April Fools Day (1986) – Netflix UK

Director: Fred Walton
Cast: Deborah Foreman, Deborah Goodrich, Amy Steel, Clayton Rohner, Griffin O’Neal
Run Time/Episodes: 90 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 6.2/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 33%

In the run-up to April Fools Day, a group of college friends head to an island mansion to celebrate spring break. But soon the partying takes a sinister turn as one after the other, members of the group are either dying or disappearing.

Remembered more for its twists than that of a slasher movie there’s probably a very good reason why April Fools Day is not spoken in the same breath as Friday the 13th or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. While the film isn’t a classic it is a throwback to 80’s horror cheese.

Bates Motel (2013 – 2017)

Director: Multiple
Cast: Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Max Thieriot, Olivia Cooke, Nester Carbonell
Run Time/Episodes: 50 Episodes (5 Seasons)
IMDB Rating: 8.1/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 93%

Set before the events of Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Pyshco’ sees the dysfunctional relationship between Norman Bates and his overbearing mother and what lead the young man to become one of the most infamous killers in cinema history.

The show’s strength lies in the relationship and chemistry between Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore who play both Norma and Norman Bates respectively. The creepiness of that relationship they permeate is phenomenal and hands down this show deserve a binge of all 5 seasons.

Bedeviled (2016)

Director: Abel Vang, Burlee Vang
Cast: Saxon Sharbino, lexis G. Zall, Bonnie Morgan, Brandon Soo Hoo, Victory Van Tuyl
Run Time/Episodes: 98 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 4.3/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: N/A %

After downloading a killer app, 5 teens are tormented by an evil and demonic presence that preys on their greatest fears to torment them.

Described as “A mediocre attempt to freshen up the slasher horror genre” this movie will either be at the top of your watchlist to get it out of the way or if you’re into dysfunctional B-list slashers then this film is probably for you. Hit or miss you won’t be missing out on much if you skip this one.

Clown (2014)

Director: Jon Watts
Cast: Eli Roth, Laura Allen, Peter Stormare, Elizabeth Whitmere, Chuck Samata
Run Time/Episodes: 100 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.7/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 45%

After a mix up on hiring a clown for his son’s party, loving father Kent dresses up as the clown instead after having found a clown costume in the basement of one the houses he is selling. After falling asleep with the costume on can’t take off the costume and soon undergoes a terrifying transformation that turns him into an evil killer clown.

If you hate Clowns don’t watch this movie. While the role isn’t as iconic as Pennywise the Clown or Eli Roth’s ‘Frowny the Clown’ it is terrifying in its own way. The film does a great job of being sympathetic towards the monster… that is until the body count starts to rise. Definitely, don’t overlook this one!

Cult of Chucky (2017)

Director: Don Mancini
Cast: Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Brad Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise
Run Time/Episodes: 91 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.1/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 83%

Chucky returns to haunt Nica, who after the events of ‘The Curse of Chucky’ resides inside a mental asylum after Chucky framed her for the murder of her own family. Thanks to the therapy she has received she now believes she was the one that killed her family and Chucky was a product of her imagination. Her doctor brings in a good boy doll to her group sessions to help with her treatment, not knowing he has put them all in danger.

The film is the 7th and currently the last of series before the reboot. With the release of the last film saw a lot of the main cast members of the previous films return for their final confrontation of Chucky.

Freddy vs Jason (2003) – Netflix UK

Director: Ronny Yu
Cast: Robert Englund, Ken Kirzinger, Monica Keena, Kelly Rowland, Jason Ritter
Run Time/Episodes: 98 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.8/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 41%

After the citizens of Springwood become less afraid of Freddy he starts to lose most of his power. Using Jason Vorhees the killer of Camp Crystal Lake to bring on a new killing spree Freddy soon regrets his decision to use Jason as Vorhees starts to kill the intended victims of Freddy. With the conflict between the 2 growing will it end in a climactic showdown between 2 of the greatest horror villains in history.

While the film isn’t considered ‘canon’, fans of both franchises clamoured to see 2 of the most iconic characters in horror history face off against one another. With a budget of $25 million, it almost made 5 times the amount at the box office and pulled in $114.9 million worldwide. While a direct movie sequel hasn’t been produced, a 15 minute short was released back in 2011 with the 2 villains facing off against each other and Ash from the ‘Evil Dead’ franchise.

Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985) – Netflix UK

Director: Danny Steinmann
Cast: John Shepherd, Corey Feldman, Melanie Kinnaman, Shavar Ross, Debi Sue Vorhees,
Run Time/Episodes:
IMDB Rating: 4.7/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 16%

Some years after Tommy Jarvis killed the infamous Jason Vorhees, Tommy has struggled to deal with the experience and has grown up in mental institutions. Having moved to an isolated house in the woodlands, Tommy continues to have nightmares of Jason. Soon a patient dies and as the body count stacks higher and higher. Tommy begins to question his own sanity on whether or not Jason has truly risen from the dead.

Out of the numerous Friday the 13th movies out there this one can easily be skipped. It doesn’t add much to the saga of Jason and Tommy beside Tommy’s struggle to integrate himself back into society. You aren’t missing out if you skip and by general consensus is everyone’s least favourite F13 movie anyway.

Friend Request (2016)

Director: Simon Verhoeven
Cast: Alycia, Debnam-Carey, Connor Paolo, William Moseley, Liesl Ahlers, Brit Morgan
Run Time/Episodes: 92 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.4/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 17%

Popular socialite Lauren accepts the friend request of social outcast Marina. After Lauren is disturbed by what she’s seen on Marina’s social media she tried to avoid Marina. After an embarrassing confrontation between Marina and Lauren, Lauren later unfriends Marina. Having seen her friend list drop to zero, a distraught Marina commits suicide. Soon strange and disturbing events start to happen to Lauren and her friends. Is Marina still alive? Or is her vengeful spirit out for revenge?

Taking a twisted look on the modern phenomenon that is social media, the idea behind ‘Friend Request’ is intriguing but the execution has been considered to be poor. While the movie performed poorly it’s still worth a watch.

Happy Birthday to Me (1981) – Netflix UK

Director: J. Lee Thompson
Cast: Melissa Su Anderson, Glenn Ford, Tracey E. Bregman, Matt Craven, Lawrence Dane
Run Time/Episodes: 111 minutes
IMDB Rating: 6.0/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 27%

Virginia ‘Ginny’ Wainwright is a member of the ‘Elite Ten’ at the prestigious Crawford Academy. The elite ten serves as the most popular students at the academy but each night they sneak out to go to the Silent Woman tavern. When a member of the Elite ten fails to show, the other members become worried. It’s not long before more members are murdered in gruesome and vicious ways.

The Canadian slasher isn’t as prestigious as what other slashers have been over the years and while some may consider it a ripping off the hype that Friday the 13th brought to the slasher horrors the movie does stand out in out’s own right. Just be mindful of eating any Kebabs after watching this. *Shudders*

Hostel Part 1 (2005) – Netflix UK

Director: Eli Roth
Cast: Eli Roth, Jay Hernandez, Derek Richardson, Barbara Nedeljáková, Eyþór Guðjónsson
Run Time/Episodes: 95 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.9/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 60%

College students Paxton and Josh go to Europe to travel with their Icelandic friend Oli. After being locked out of their Hostel in Amsterdam one of the locals suggests they travel to Slovakia to seek out a hostel rumoured to be filled with beautiful women. After travelling to the Hostel in Slovakia all is not what it seems as they are drawn into a deadly game and soon find themselves fighting for their survival.

The early and mid-2000’s saw the emergence in popularity of the ‘torture porn’ genre and while Hostel does count as a Slasher it also fits into that torture category. If you’re looking for guts and gore and lots of it then look no further as they have it by the bucket load in this film. For any of you out there that faint of heart and squeamish then turn away from this movie immediately!

There was some backlash to the release of this movie as both Slovakia and the Czech Republic saw this movie as a misrepresentation of their respective countries. Less about the violence and more how the countries are perceived to be dangerous, rampant with criminals and prostitution and also underdeveloped.

Hostel: Part 2 (2007)  – Netflix UK

Director: Eli Roth
Cast: Lauren German, Heather Matarazzo, Bijou Phillips, Jay Hernandez, Roger Bart
Run Time/Episodes: 100 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.4/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 44%

Three American art students are convinced by model Axelle to travel with her to a luxurious spa in Slovakia. Unbeknownst to the girls, they are in grave danger as their passport photos have been put online for a sinister auction for the elite society that hunts tourists for money.

The violence in Part 2 of Eli Roth’s Torture/Slasher franchise is off the charts. So much so the movie upon release was banned in several countries for its excessive violence and graphic scenes. Part 2 did not make as much money as its predecessor but this would be down to a copy of the film leaked online and became the most pirated movie of 2007. Eli Roth saw the drop in money at the box office as a result of the movie being pirated.

Hush (2016)

Director: Mike Flanagan
Cast: Kate Siegel, John Gallagher Jr, Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, Emilia Graves
Run Time/Episodes: 87 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 6.6/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 88%

A deaf writer who retreated into the woods to live a solitary life must fight for her life in silence when a masked killer appears in her window.

Hush is quite the refreshing take on the home invasion genre and has been well received by critics. While it was never released at the box office the movie has become a favorite among many Netflix subscribers. The movie had been considered to be completely without audio at first but there was a limit to the amount of tension that could be generated. Without audio, there was a risk that the intended target audience would not like the movie.

I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) – Netflix UK

Director: Jim Gillespie
Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr, Ryan Phillippe, Johnny Galecki
Run Time/Episodes:
IMDB Rating: 5.6/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 35%

After accidentally running over a fisherman and dumping the body the previous summer, four friends, Julie, Barry, Ray, and Helen come together after Julie receives a threatening letter that their crime had been seen. Finding themselves in danger the four teenagers are in fear of not only their crime being revealed but being killed themselves.

The 90’s was filled with slasher horror movies and soon replaced the popularity of the flesh-eating zombies that dominated the horror scene the decade before. ‘I know what you did last Summer’ did fantastic at the box office as it made over $125 million dollars and considering the film was made for just $17 Million, it was a massive achievement. The film is paramount to anyone’s Slasher horror watchlist and should be in the top 10 of your what to watch.

Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017) – Netflix UK

Director: Victor Salva
Cast: Gina Philips, Jonathan Breck, Brandon Smith, Meg Foster, Stan Shaw
Run Time/Episodes: 100 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 4.1/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 17%

Taking place just after the events of Jeepers Creepers 1, a task force is put together by the local Sheriff to take down the Creeper down for good.

As the film is a pre-sequel it still leaves the door open to a 4th film in the franchise that can be available to be made, but after the reception, Jeepers Creepers 3 has received too much of a good thing is… well too much. While the franchise itself is popular amongst horror film fans you’d be better off going back and watching 1 & 2 rather than watching this 1.5 copy. If a 4th is produced then we can hope for a far better sequel than what we got for number 3.

Kristy (2015)

Director: Olly Blackburn
Cast: Haley Bennet, Ashley Greene, Lucas Till, Chris Coy, James Ransome
Run Time/Episodes: 86 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.8/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: N/A%

Unable to go home for Thanksgiving, college student Justine stays behind at the university campus she is attending. Justine soon finds herself besieged by deranged cult members intent on killing her.

The first director of the movie had originally wanted Emma Watson to play the lead role but soon after Olly Blackburn had been given the directors seat instead and 2 more producers came on to help with the production of the film. The film went on to have several rebrandings of the title such as ‘Satanic’, and ‘Random’. The film first premiered in Europe back in 2014 but for its subsequent release in the United States, the film was re-edited. The movie was never released at the box office and soon after airing on Lifetime in the US less than a month later the film was released on Netflix.

Leather Face – Netflix UK

Director: Alexandre Bustillo, Julien Maury
Cast: Sam Strike, Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, Vanessa Grasse, James Bloor
Run Time/Episodes: 90 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 28%

The story recounts the origin story of the infamous ‘Leatherface’ prior to the events of the ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’.

If you have a morbid interest in the origin of a horror movie killer then yeah it’s a worth a watch but realistically ‘Leatherface’ is the origin story no one wanted. That speaks volumes as many people don’t even realize this film exists not to mention its abysmal run in the box office which made less than a $1 Million dollars.

Most Likely to Die (2015)

Director: Anthony DiBlasi
Cast: Heather Morris, Tatum Miranda, Jake Busey, Perez Hilton, Ryan Doom
Run Time/Episodes: 90 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 4.1/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: N/A%

10 years after they left high school the former classmates reunite at a pre-party before they attend their 10-year high school reunion. Soon, the former classmates are brutally murdered in the way which their yearbook superlative described what they would ‘most likely’ do.

The film doesn’t stand out amongst the crowd of the many slasher films out there as it doesn’t go against the grain to try something new. More of a homage to 90’s era high school slasher movie if the film had been more ambitious in its approach than paying homage then this may have warranted more attention. Hit or Miss. Take or leave it if you want a slasher fest then add it to your watch list.

Red Christmas (2016)

Director: Craig Anderson
Cast: Dee Wallace, Sarah Bishop, Geoff Morrell, Janis McGavin, Gerard Odweyr
Run Time/Episodes: 82 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 4.4/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 47%

A family gathers for a Christmas in the middle of nowhere Australia. The bickering family soon take in a weird, cloaked stranger by the name of Cletus but as his behaviour becomes more erratic he is forcibly removed from the property. When it is revealed the stranger is the long lost son of Diane she must reveal the truth of her past and reveal all to the family why this mysterious man is hellbent on killing them.

The irony of a dark comedy when there isn’t much comedy to be had is quite sad and that’s why this is the sort of movie you’d watch for a ‘Bad Movie Night’.

Scream (TV Series 2015 – Present)

Director: Multiple
Cast: Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, John Karna, Amadeus Serafini
Run Time/Episodes: 23 Episodes (2 Seasons)
IMDB Rating: 7.3/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 65%

In the town of Lakewood, a recent murder of high school students brings back awful memories for residents of the town that had to deal with the brutal murder spree that was carried out years ago. As the body count rises people begin to question if the murderer has returned or is this a copycat killer intent on bringing chaos to the town.

This is very much a show you would consider a guilty pleasure to watch and is actually very enjoyable. For a premise where a traditional TV series usually wouldn’t work has been flipped right on its head, the series must definitely go on your what to watch list. The series is still currently waiting for the release of a 3rd season but for now, there is more than enough for you to binge on.

Scream 4 (2011)

Director: Wes Craven
Cast: Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, Wes Craven, Emma Roberts, David Arquette
Run Time/Episodes: 111 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 6.2/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 59%

Years after Ghostface wreaked havoc on the town of Woodsboro, Sidney Prescott returns to the town on her book tour after writing a self-help book. She reconnects with survivors and her old friends Gale Weathers and Dewey who has now become the sheriff of the town. With Sidney’s arrival sparks a new wave of murders as the town is once again thrown into chaos with the re-appearance of Ghostface.

Any Scream film should be in your list of what to watch even if that means you can only watch the 4th film! The slasher genre had somewhat lost its popularity before Wes Craven came along and breathed life back into it. Focusing not just on the horror aspect of a slasher movie the scream franchise has also been massively praised for its use of humour in such a dark setting.

Sendero (2015)

Director: Lucio A. Rojas
Cast: Felipe Contreras, Andrea García-Huidobro, Sofía García, Ximena del Solar
Run Time/Episodes: 85 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 3.6/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: N/A%

After being given the scholarship to study abroad Ana celebrates with her friends. While on the road they help Ana and her friends help an injured lady, but after helping the women Ana and her friends are kidnapped by a strange family.

The film follows the troupes of many horrors that have come before it, similar to that of the hills have eyes and devils rejects where a group of people gets brutalized by a crazy family. Once you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all besides that there isn’t much left to say about the Spanish slasher.

Slasher (TV Series 2016 – Present)

Director: Multiple
Cast: Steve Byers, Christopher Jacot, Katie McGrath, Dean McDermott, Brandon Jay McLaren
Run Time/Episodes: 16 Episodes (2 Seasons)
IMDB Rating: 7.8/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: N/A%

After her parents were murdered 30 years ago by ‘The Executioner’ Sarah Bennett’s return to the town of Waterbury hasn’t been a happy one. Having moved back to the town with her husband Dylan, Sarah finds herself at the center of another series of murders that revolve around the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ which had been the work of ‘The Executioner’. With the original killer already in jail, someone in the community has taken it upon themselves to become a copycat of the killer. With the body count rising everyone around Sarah is now a victim or a suspect.

For a while, things were looking bleak for The Canadian horror before being picked up by Netflix and with Netflix producing season 3 of the slasher series, it suffice to say that Netflix has a lot of confidence in the show and expect to do well once the release of the series goes international. With 2 seasons of the show available to stream, there’s enough to keep you busy over Halloween.

Stitches (2012)

Director: Conor McMahon
Cast:  Ross Noble, Tommy Knight, Gemma-Leah Devereux, Eoghan McQuin, Lorna Dempsey
Run Time/Episodes: 86 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.7/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: N/A%

When a child’s party goes disastrously wrong and results in the death of the clown entertainer, 6 years later ‘Stitches’ the clown returns to enact his revenge on those responsible for his death.

While the film definitely can’t be merited with being the Shaun of the Dead of the clown horror/comedy world the movie does has its own merits. Laughably grotesque with how Stitches kills his victims with tricks and clown whimsy may leave some dumbfounded while others will be laughing.

Sweet Home (2015)

Director: Rafa Martinez
Cast: Ingrid Garcia Jonsson, Bruno Sevilla, Oriol Tarrida, Luka Peros, Eduardo Lloveras
Run Time/Episodes: 80 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.1/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: N/A%

The owner of the building has struggled to get rid of the last remaining tenant in the building sends a group of hired killers to take out the last tenant and they won’t be leaving any witnesses.

It’s hard for any Slasher/Home Invasion film to come up with its own troupes and while it doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary it isn’t exactly the worst one on this list of Slasher films. It does what it says on the tin with this one, so don’t expect anything special but make sure to add it to your watchlist this Halloween.

Terrifier (2016)

Director: Damien Leone
Cast: Jenna Kanell, Catherine Corcoran, Samantha Scaffidi, Katie Maguire, Pooya Mohensi
Run Time/Episodes: 86 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.7/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 71%

A crazed and maniacal clown spends Halloween night terrorizing 3 women and anyone that gets in his way.

Yet another clown movie to add to the collection of nope. Not nope for being bad but just being plain creepy and brutal as hell. A true B-list horror for fans to watch, you’ll get a kick out of the gore fest.

The Babysitter (2017)

Director: McG
Cast: Bella Thorne, Samara Weaving, Robbie Amell, Judah Lewis, King Bach
Run Time/Episodes: 85 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 6.3/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 72%

After his friends suggest Cole stays up to spy on his super hot babysitter to see what she gets up too when he’s asleep goes disastrously wrong. Having witnessed Babysitter ‘Bee’ and her friends sacrifice someone in a satanic ritual Cole must fight for his life after they will stop at nothing to keep their secret from getting out.

Easily one of the most enjoyable Slasher movies that have come out for a long time. With its comedic timing and entertaining parody like feel on slasher films, the Babysitter definitely should be sitting pretty near the top of your watch list.

The Cabin in The Woods (2011) – Netflix UK

Director: Drew Goddard
Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, Jesse Williams, Fran Kranz
Run Time/Episodes: 95 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 7/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 91%

When five college friends arrive at a remote forest cabin for a little vacation, little do they expect the horrors that await them. One by one, the youths fall victim to backwoods zombies, but there is another factor at play. Two scientists are manipulating the ghoulish goings-on, but even as the body count rises, there is yet more at work than meets the eye.

‘Cabin in the Woods’ isn’t a parody in the traditional sense but it definitely shines a light on classic horror troupes and pokes fun at it. Written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard the film is definitely one the most refreshing movies on the Genre for a very long time.

The Collection (2012)

Director: Marcus Dunstan
Cast: Josh Stewart, Emma Fitzpatrick, Randall Archer, Christopher McDonald, Lee Tergesen
Run Time/Episodes: 82 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 6.1/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 37%

The sequel to ‘The Collector’ see’s a face from the Collectors past leading a team of armed mercenaries to take him down in his booby-trapped hotel.

It goes to show a bigger budget doesn’t always mean a bigger return. While the original movie made triple the amount to it’s budget of $3 Million, ‘The Collection’ had $7 Million more to play with and unfortunately brought in a lot less to its predecessor. But the figures don’t always do a film justice and if you’ve watched the first movie what’s stopping you from watching the sequel? With more guts and gore and plenty of torture to boot, add ‘The Collection’ to your current collection on your watch list.

The Collector (2009) – Netflix UK

Director: Marcus Dunstan
Cast: Josh Stewart, Madeline Zima, Juan Fernandez de Alarcon, Andrea Roth, Michael Reilly Burke
Run Time/Episodes: 90 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 6.4/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 30%

After arriving at the house and having a violent confrontation with Michael Chase all is not what it seems and a deadly game of survival for Arkin and the Chase’s begins.

This film has definitely split fans down the middle and it may have to be taken with a pinch of salt that those that enjoyed it loved it and those that disliked it really hated it. If you’re a fan of the hardcore horrors then definitely add this to your watchlist and with the sequel also appearing on this list make sure to give that a watch too!

The Funhouse Massacre (2015) – Netflix UK

Director: Andy Palmer
Cast: Robert Englund, Chasty Ballesteros, Jere Burns, Scottie Thompson, Clint Howard
Run Time/Episodes: 90 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.3/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 64%

Murdering and then replacing the actors that play their roles in the park, the crazed killers await their new unsuspecting victims looking for fun in the amusement park.

If you love a Grindhouse horror and B-movie horrors then you’ll love the combination of the two in this Slasher gore fest. Let your inner psycho loose and make sure to add this cheesy as hell and savagely fun film to your watch list.

The Girl in the Photographs (2015)

Director: Nick Simon
Cast: Kal Penn, Claudia Lee, Kenny Wormald, Katherine Isabelle, Miranda Rae Mayo
Run Time/Episodes: 95 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 4.5/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 15%

In the back end of nowhere town called Spearfish ‘Girl next door’ Colleen is tired with her mundane life and boring boyfriend. During her inner turmoil, she soon starts to receive photos from unknown assailants of mutilated victims. When an opportunity of a lifetime comes calling, on her last night in Spearfish her stalkers return intent on killing her and making their newest centrepiece of their sick crimes.

For a film produced by Wes Craven, it’s a massive shame that the Slasher/Thriller hasn’t surmounted to much. While the initial idea is intriguing it lacks delivery on its premise.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006)

Director: Jonathan Liebesman
Cast: Jordana Brewster, Diora Baird, Matt Bomer, R. Lee Ermey, Andrew Bryniarski
Run Time/Episodes: 96 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.9/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 12%

A group of teens are left fighting for their lives after they are taken to the home of the Hewitt’s and the home of a young Leatherface.

The response for the reboot of the film was definitely not well received, in the era where a lot of classic horror villains were getting rebooted while still serving fans with plenty of guts and gore miss the point of what made them so good, to begin with. If you’re only looking for cheap scares and to see some teens get chopped out then crack on and binge.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986) – Netflix UK

Director: Tobe Hooper
Cast: Caroline Williams, Dennis Hopper, Bill Moseley, Jim Siedow, Bill Johnson
Run Time/Episodes: 101 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 5.5/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 45%

Taking place years after the events of the first massacre, a Texan lawman by the name of Lefty enlists the help of local Radio DJ Vanita ‘Stretch’ Brock to bring the horror of the mysterious chainsaw killings across Texas into the public eye. Stretch is set upon by the Sawyer clan and kidnap her in retaliation to her radio exploits so they can protect themselves from the long arm of the law.

The 2nd movie definitely didn’t reap the success of the very first film and besides the remake of the original no other ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ film will ever hold up to the original. If all the films from the franchise were on Netflix then it would be worthwhile watching this film, besides that by skipping this one you aren’t missing out on much.

The Windmill (2016)

Director: Nick Jongerius
Cast: Charlotte Beaumont, Noah Taylor, Patrick Baldi, Ben Batt, Fiona Hampton
Run Time/Episodes: 85 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 4.8/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 44%

After a group of tourists gets stranded in the Dutch countryside, they unknowingly release an old evil. Having been stranded at an abandoned barn and windmill the tourists don’t realize a murderous psychopath used to grind the bones of his victims inside.

The film originally debuted for the London fright film festival back in August 2016 and a couple of months later was released to cinemas in the USA. With the release of the film being limited to very few cinemas across the country, it stagnated any hype that may have developed around the film. With its premise similar to that of previous horror movies while enjoyable, the film doesn’t do anything to set itself apart from the rest.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010)

Director: Eli Craig
Cast: Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, Katrina Bowden, Eli Craig, Jesse Moss
Run Time/Episodes: 89 Minutes
IMDB Rating: 7.6/10 | Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 84%

2 charming hillbillies Tucker and Dale are on vacation at their dilapidated mountain cabin when they are mistaken for murderers by a group of preppy college students.

This film is full of laughs from the start to finish and was a devilishly fresh comedy/horror on the ‘Killer Hillbillies’ genre. While in itself is a parody, it’s easily one of the best comedy/horrors to come out in a very long time. There are guts and gore, there are laughs and romance and of course dead teenagers. Enjoy!

Welcome to Willits (2016)

Director:
Cast: Karrueche Tran, Dolph Lundgren, Rory Culkin, Anastasia Baranova, Garrett Clayton

In the back end of nowhere and deep into the woods of Northern California is the off-grid town of Willits. The town is a dream come true for drug users, marijuana growers and for crazy kicks with their conspiracy theories. But after a group of vacationing teens accidentally set up their campsite on the land of a drug-addled pot farmer they are in one for one hell of a night after he claims Aliens are out to get him.

The film was a directorial debut for Trevor Ryan and he wasn’t afraid to go all out for his debut. While the film’s premise sounds a jumbled mess this whack and zany comedy horror is perfect for those looking for that B movie binge.
