Scrubs and Desperate Housewives Leaving Netflix in the New Year

Sad news today as we’ve discovered a couple of titles which many fans will be disappointed to learn that will be disappearing from Netflix Instant library come the New Year. The news comes with multiple ABC television series up for renewal on the streaming service which at the moment look like Netflix won’t be fighting to keep.

Scrubs was initially created by NBC before ABC picked up the show for one last goodbye season 2009 and has been streaming on Netflix for quite some time too. Desperate Housewives is another cancelled ABC title which saw its final season air in 2012 much to fans disappointment.

All 8 seasons of Desperate Housewives will be leaving Netflix on the 4th January 2015 and all 9 seasons of Scrubs will be leaving Netflix on January 4th 2015 too. Not a great start to the year for Netflix but we hope that ABC and Netflix can come to some kind of arrangement to keep these series on Netflix

It’s worth pointing out that many shows set to expire at certain times and a late minute deal is pulled off and may even re-appear on the service a day or two later. Alternatively you may see the season popup on a rival streaming service with exclusivity.
