Damages is the latest series to get an official expiration date on Netflix and that date has been confirmed as October 14th, 2017. It’ll see the departure of all five seasons of the show.

The legal drama which famously starred John Goodman for its fourth season was highly rated among its audience. Each episode saw the team facing a brand new major court case and would dig into the crime surrounding the case.

The first the three seasons were aired on FX before moving to Audience Network owned by AT&T for the fourth and fifth season.

Although the distribution surrounding the show is a little trickier than with most of the other shows from FX and Fox to leave Netflix, but we do believe that is because of this the main reason behind the show’s departure.

You see, Netflix and 20th Century Fox finished their longstanding relationship this year which is seeing the complete removal of its library over the coming months. This also includes FX titles which we believe Damages falls into.

This is yet another sad loss for Netflix but there’s plenty of other crime dramas and courtroom dramas to keep you busy in the meantime. Netflix’s own Making a Murderer is a fantastic watch as it pretty much features hours of unedited courtroom testimony. Titles like Criminal Minds and Blue Bloods will scratch that itch if you like the crime drama aspect of the show.

On the bright side, the new exclusive home of Damages on streaming will be Hulu which secured most to all of FX’s and Fox’s libraries once Netflix decided not to renew.
