Netflix’s push to bring the biggest stars of YouTube over to its streaming platform continues. Next up is ChuChu TV Nursery Rhymes & Kids Songs, the wildly popular Indian edutainment network, which is setting up shop on Netflix globally in August 2026.
If you’ve got young children, you almost certainly know the name—or at least the incredibly catchy tunes. Originating in India, ChuChu TV has grown into one of the most-watched kids’ networks on the planet. According to SocialBlade stats, their flagship channel boasts an eye-watering near-100 million subscribers, placing it comfortably in the upper echelon of YouTube channels in the space and the 21st biggest channel in the world. It’s recently surpassed 60 billion views across its catalog of over 1,000 videos.
Now, they’re heading to Netflix.
Netflix has officially announced that four collections of ChuChu TV content will touch down on the service globally on Thursday, August 6th, 2026.
Here is what you can expect to see added to your kids’ profiles:
- ChuChuTV Nursery Rhymes – The classic animated toe-tappers and educational songs that put the channel on the map.
- ChuChuTV Drawing with ChuChu – A collection focused on art, shapes, and fostering creativity in preschoolers.
- ChuChuTV Colors in FunZone – Vibrant, engaging educational adventures focused on color recognition.
- ChuChuTV Surprise Eggs – ChuChu’s take on the immensely popular surprise egg format, mixing unboxing-style fun with early learning concepts.
The YouTube to Netflix Pipeline is Flowing Faster Than Ever
ChuChu TV isn’t an isolated acquisition. Over the past few years, we’ve tracked Netflix aggressively acquiring streaming rights for some of the biggest names on YouTube, specifically in the kids and family space. If you check out the weekly top 10s, you can easily see why; they absolutely dominate the rankings. This expansion has extended this year to podcasts and, more recently, digital publisher series.
Just recently, we covered Netflix licensing the hit UK edutainment show Steve and Maggie, and earlier this year, the live-action music and dance sensation Danny Go! made his way onto the platform to burn off toddlers’ excess energy.
But the list of YouTube stars getting the Netflix treatment goes far beyond that. We haven’t updated our main post on the YouTube to Netflix pipeline since March but it’s safe to say the streamer is heavily leaning into creator-led content, partnering with or acquiring shows from massive digital creators including:
- Ms. Rachel
- Salish & Jordan Matter
- The Stokes Twins
- Mark Rober
And, of course, we can’t forget CoComelon. The Moonbug Entertainment juggernaut was one of the first major YouTube properties to migrate to Netflix. It has since become a foundational pillar of Netflix’s preschool lineup, regularly dominating the global top 10 charts, generating billions of viewing hours, and spawning Netflix Original spin-offs like CoComelon Lane.
