What is the production status of Doing Life? When is Doing Life coming to Netflix?

Here’s where things get a little complicated – Tyler Perry projects are often filmed in hush-hush, so it’s unclear whether filming has started on this project or not. At one point, filming was scheduled to begin on March 19, 2025, in Atlanta at Tyler Perry’s studio facilities.

When Netflix announced the project, they did not confirm its production status. However, assuming it did get underway in March as planned at one point, we’d expect a relatively short shoot (in true TP fashion) with a likely 2026 release date.
