Wentworth season 7 has finally gotten its Netflix release date in the United States and other regions will soon follow. Here’s what we know about the new season of Wentworth and when season 7 of Wentworth is coming to Netflix.
There’s no doubt that the Australian prison drama is a must-watch for anyone with Netflix. The series draws a lot of similarities to Netflix’s Orange is the New Black but the truth is the two series have gone in two completely separate directions.
Wentworth is a gritty, harsh and dramatic prison drama that sees a lot more violence when compared to Orange is the New Black. New seasons have been coming to Netflix over the past few years.
The series first airs on Foxtel in Australia before being added to Netflix around the globe staggered shortly after the series has wrapped.

Is there going to be a season 7 of Wentworth?
Absolutely! Season 7 was actually announced towards the tail-end of season 6 in April 2018. There was never any doubt that Foxtel would renew Wentworth for season 7. Production began straight away which means there’s once again going to be a tight turnaround for release.
What to expect in season 7 of Wentworth
Season 6 ended with one of the most dramatic and grueling endings yet. The season culminated in the big showdown between Rita vs Drago.
The series also was getting towards the end of the interrogation for who helped an inmate escape. In season 7, a new top dog has taken over the prison so we’re likely to see big changes on the horizon. For one, we need to find out who’s going to be the new number 2 for Marie now that Drago is out of the picture.
Most fans are now hoping for a big fight between Rita and The Freak.
When will Season 7 of Wentworth be on Netflix?
Despite a quick renewal for Wentworth season 7 by the shows new producers at Showcase, we’ve had to wait a year again but the time is nearly here. Season 7 of Wentworth is due to air in Australia from May 28th.

The series will consist of 10 brand new episodes which is down from its past runs of 12 episodes a season.
In previous years, Netflix has managed to get new seasons of Wentworth around a week or two after the series has concluded. Last year, the series wrapped up on September 4th and arrived on Netflix on September 9th.
We were expecting the series to arrive on Netflix in August 2019 but we’ll be getting it ever so slightly sooner. It’s now been confirmed that season 7 of Wentworth will be on Netflix on July 31st, 2019.
Update (07/31/2019): Despite a later than scheduled arrival, season 7 is now on Netflix
Netflix Canada will likely get the series in either November or December 2019.
Netflix UK and Netflix Australia does not carry the show in any capacity.
