Naturally, this doesn’t exactly pinpoint which titles had the best launches but rather which titles picked up the most viewing in this period, so that naturally comes with some pitfalls. Still, it’s a worthwhile exercise as it shows which docs put in the best performance throughout the first half of the year.

As detectives comb through the wreckage, viewers are left to determine: was it a horrific teenage accident or a calculated double murder?
