Another week is upon us, and it’s a big week with multiple big movies from the past year set to arrive on Netflix this week, in addition to streaming debuts for two new documentaries and your usual new Netflix Original fare with a new series from Mara Brock Akil and a big new Netflix comedy starring Vince Vaughn. Let’s dig into everything on the way over the next seven days.
All the additions below don’t include new live episodes of Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney, which premieres on Wednesday evening US time, and Pop The Balloon LIVE, which goes live on Friday. A new episode of Two Husbands One Wife will drop on Thursday.
Looking at removals for this week, we’ll see the critically acclaimed feel-good movie The Peanut Butter Falcon depart on Monday. Later in the week, we’ll see the departure of two DC animation series and films like The Lost City starring Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock, plus the 2023 animated Resident Evil movie, Death Island.

Most Anticipated New Releases on Netflix This Week
Nonnas (2025)
Coming to Netflix: Friday
Picked up last year by Netflix after being filmed the year prior, Nonnas should be an inspiring and feel-good comedy led by Vince Vaughn, who has been very quiet on the movie front in recent years, with the comedy genre as a whole taking a long hiatus due to a depressed box office. Based on a true story, Vaughn plays the role of Joe, who takes a financial risk by starting up a new restaurant with the unique selling point being that all the food is handcrafted with love by grandmothers.
Interestingly, this is doing very well on our Facebook pages, so we’ll see how well that translates into viewership. Given the star power on display here, we suspect it could be a sleeper hit of the year. Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Susan Sarandon, Linda Cardellini, Drea de Matteo, and upcoming One Piece star Joe Manganiello are front and center amongst the cast.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Coming to Netflix: Tuesday
As we first reported, Netflix is continuing its recent trend of picking up recently released Warner Bros. theatrically released movies. The box office hit and long-awaited return of Michael Keaton in his iconic role of Beetlejuice hit Netflix just nine months after it hit theaters. In this direct sequel, you’ll see three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River.
Of course, given the upcoming second season of Wednesday season 2 later this Summer, this is an ideal time to dive into one of the rich worlds crafted by Tim Burton.
Blood of Zeus (Season 3)
Coming to Netflix: Thursday
While adult animation on Netflix has struggled in recent years, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some absolute gems in the Netflix library. Of course, you’ve got your well-known hits like Castlevania: Nocturne and recently released Devil May Cry, but Blood of Zeus easily earns a top spot amongst Netflix’s best fantasy and animated titles of all time.
Upping the ante, season 3 of Blood of Zeus follows the continued clashing between gods and demigods, which is brought to the brink as Heron’s battle continues amongst the likes of Ares, Athena, Persephone, and Hades.
Sadly, the show ends with this third season despite plans to continue it initially. If the show does numbers, we’ll hopefully see the Netflix team team up with the creators on another project shortly.
