The Mexican political thriller Ingobernable will be returning for its third season in December 2019. Here’s what you need to know about the show and the few details we’ve got on season 3 too.
Update (11/19/2019): The series is no longer showing to have a third season coming in December. This could’ve been a listing mistake.
Although the series was never formally (at least via the official English speaking Netflix accounts) renewed or canceled for that matter for a season 3, it’s coming and it’s due to release in full on December 1st, 2019.
Interestingly, it was reported back in July that a third season had been canceled for so-called political reasons. In fact, another outlet also reiterated that a third season would not be going ahead.
Ingobernable for anyone not familiar is a political thriller starring Kate del Castillo is about the first lady of Mexico and her lack of faith in her husband.
Season 2, which consisted of another 12 episodes aired back in September 2018.
The last season concluded with Emilia squaring off against Kelly and Ana heading into battle. The acting president cleared the former president of all charges.
Kate del Castillo also stars in a Spanish telenovela series called La Reina del Sur which saw its second season released earlier this year on Telemundo. Given an Instagram post, it looks as though season 2 of that will be available on Netflix on November 29th.
You can find all the other Netflix Originals lined up for December in our ongoing Original preview list. It includes massive titles such as The Witcher, Marriage Story and 6 Underground among others.
