Welcome to your Netflix top 10 report for the week ending September 14th, 2025! This week saw several big stories, including notable omissions, Wednesday season 2 entering the all-time top 10, KPop Demon Hunters smashing through 300M views, and all the other debuts from the past seven days. Let’s dig in!
A notable absence this week is season 2 of Wolf King, which had been in the top 10 for two weeks following its season 1 release earlier this year, but clearly, the final season flew well under the radar. Another is the Korean drama series You and Everything Else, which failed to rank at all.
As always, let’s see how this week’s top 10s stack up against prior weeks:
English (TV): 64,400,000 views (Rank 7 of 117 weeks)
English (Film): 76,900,000 (Rank 52 of 117 weeks)
Non-English (TV): 25,800,000 (Rank 71 of 117 weeks)
Non-English (Film): 22,600,000 (Rank 100 of 117 weeks)
1. The Wrong Paris: One of the Lowest Movie Debuts of 2025
Miranda Cosgrove’s new romantic comedy The Wrong Paris has fallen short in its debut, with 12.8M views, making it one of the weakest movie debuts of 2025 (just above KPop Demon Hunters – but that soon changed!). Mother of the Bride (which did release on a Thursday and not a Friday) debuted to 26.7M views, so it’s a massive fall-off even considering the extra day it had to hoover up views. Any way you slice it – a tough start.

2. aka Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen was everywhere last week. Promoting his brand new book and Netflix show on all manner of chat shows and even at the Netflix boxing event on Saturday, it was hard to miss him. How well did his two-part documentary series (which Netflix lists as a movie – grrr – its season 1 in the Spreadsheet!!1!) perform? It ranked fourth with 9.7M views in its first week – here’s how that stacks up against other documentary series.

3. Beauty in Black is back with a bang.
Tyler Perry had a significant TV miss on Netflix this year with She The People (ahem, Miss Governor), which really failed to connect with both of its parts. However, the good news is that Beauty in Black is more than making up for that with season 2, with a 55% jump in views from season 1 to 2. Of course, season 2 is being split into two parts, just like season 1, so you should keep that in mind. Given that season 2 was renewed very early, it’s not surprising if the same happens again with season 3…

5. The Thursday Murder Club Disappoints
Throughout much of the build-up to the movie, from Chris Columbus, based on the book by Richard Osman, it was made to appear that a sequel to the film had already been greenlit. Whether that’s actually happened or not is unclear, although based on the viewership numbers, its sequel prospects aren’t exactly fantastic. Comparing primarily against other films that debuted on a Thursday (plus a few other 2025 debuts), you can see the movie isn’t a massive hit but rather a middling one, if that.

6. Another Check-In With KPop Demon Hunters and My Life with the Walter Boys
In week 13, we got another double-digit percentage drop for KPop Demon Hunters with another 22.6M views added to the incredible tally, now taking the movie up to 314.2M views. As a reminder, these views go up to September 14th, meaning there are still 5 days of viewership left until the 91-day cut-off for the all-time top 10 on September 19th! My Life with the Walter Boys has had one of the most fascinating trajectories of the year. Season 2 got off to a stronger start but has been falling off more rapidly compared to season 1, with a 52% decline in views this week, which bizarrely brings it exactly neck and neck to season 1’s performance.

7. Maledictions and The Dead Girls lead new Spanish-language arrivals
New Spanish-language series have been coming thick and fast in recent months, and Maledictions puts in an incredibly low performance in week 1 with just 1.3M views, far below Two Graves, which debuted just a few weeks back with 8.6M views.

The Dead Girls, which received a significant marketing boost from Netflix throughout the week, performed moderately well with a 3.9M start in the top 10s. The show did feature in dozens and dozens of Netflix regions’ top 10s, but from FlixPatrol data, it’s not gaining steam in week 2.

8. Wednesday S2 Breaks Into All-Time Top 10
Wednesday Season 2 made its debut on the Most Popular English Shows list with 95.4 million views, kicking out Stranger Things season 3. Season 2 numbers, due to it being a split season, have caused a lot of confusion, including Variety, one of the most recognizable and respected trades, getting the data spectacularly wrong twice in a single week.
Once again, we cannot do direct comparisons here, but here’s the viewing hours trajectory thus far on the series. Last week, we predicted around a #4 spot in the all-time top 10 list once the 91 days after part 2’s release are up.
