With the United States officially turning 250 this coming weekend, Netflix is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial. By the dawn’s early light, the streamer has launched a massive new documentary series alongside a sprawling set of curated collections designed to ring in the historic milestone.
If you log into Netflix over the next few days, you’ll likely be greeted by a metallic Mount Rushmore-esque banner (which is sadly completely AI-generated – much like their previous category launches) for the new “USA 250!” hub.
This collection is in addition to the streamer licensing a bunch of History Channel content as of late and releasing its big new documentary: The American Experiment.
Here’s a breakdown of the brand-new centerpiece docuseries, plus a look at the patriotic subcategories and titles you can binge over the holiday weekend.
You can find the full collection here (ID: 82946728) or by typing in USA 250! to the search box.
Exploring the “USA 250!” Categories
If The American Experiment leaves you feeling patriotic, Netflix has completely overhauled its UI for the holiday with the USA 250! collection.
We’ve taken a look at the platform to break down the 11 sub-collections Netflix has curated to honor the full spectrum of the American experience. (And remember, if you want to search for specific genres directly on your browser, you can always use our massive Netflix ID Bible with every hidden category code!).
Here are the subcategories featured on the USA 250 homepage and some of the heavy-hitting titles you can watch in each:
