Seasons 1 to 6 of White Collar is scheduled to be leaving Netflix US in October 2018. The series has been available on Netflix since 2011 but its reign on the service is finally coming to an end.

Update (09/27/2018): Netflix has officially confirmed the removal of White Collar on October 1st. This is your last chance!

As you may know, Netflix regularly refreshes its library by adding new titles and occasionally removing them. Contracts with big networks come up for renewal for individual shows every now and again and it’s down to both parties to come to an agreement. As of right now, Netflix is removing White Collar on October 1st, 2018.

The series has been out of action since December 2014 when the season 6 finale aired on USANetwork. This is important to note when it comes to the reason as to why the show is scheduled to leave Netflix.

Why is White Collar leaving?

It’s likely that Netflix no longer sees the value in White Collar being on Netflix. In recent years, Netflix has given priority to newer shows as they tend to have more active and engaged audiences. As Netflix doesn’t have advertisements the only metric they look at is viewing numbers and if White Collar has declined significantly, then its no longer providing the return on investment for the streaming service.

Quite a few USANetwork shows have left Netflix in recent years including Psych which left Netflix back in 2016. The only USANetwork shows on Netflix at the moment getting frequent updates are Colony and Queen of the South.

It’s important to stress at this point that Netflix does sometimes include titles that are due to expire that eventually get renewed. This could full well be the case for White Collar but given the aforementioned reasons, we believe it’ll be making a permanent departure come October 1st.

What about Netflix UK?

White Collar in the United Kingdom looks to be safe as there is no expiration date currently showing.
