What to expect from Beauty in Black Season 3
Season 2 ended with a boardroom team-up that was two seasons in the making, and the power dynamic has completely shifted. With Horace (Ricco Ross) stepping back in, and an unlikely alliance forged between Kimmie and former rival Mallory (Crystle Stewart), the Bellarie empire is about to be purged of its bad blood.
Here is the official Netflix logline for the upcoming 8-episode third season:
“Kimmie finally has a seat at the Bellarie table, but when a deadly family feud erupts, she’s forced into an uneasy alliance with Mallory. Together, they navigate a ruthless world of blackmail, revenge, and buried secrets as the family wages war against one of its own, threatening to bring the entire empire crashing down.”
Speaking on the shifting dynamics going into the new season, Perry teased to Netflix: “By the end of Season 2, the entire power structure shifts. Part 2 is really the moment Kimmie stops surviving and starts playing the game. And once she does that … nobody in the Bellarie family is safe.”
The streaming service also promises that next season we will start to see Kimmie “step fully into her power with all of the support she needs,” but the ultimate question for the final six episodes of the season will be whether she can actually maintain it.
As for the fallout from Horace’s entitled sons Roy and Charles, his dodgy brother Norman, and his resentful ex-wife Olivia being turned over to the FBI? Netflix notes that “a lot of truths come to light, and the characters start realizing that the game they’ve been playing is even bigger and more dangerous than they thought.”
Netflix added that the most recent episodes left the audience “at a moment where everything feels like it’s about to explode. Alliances are shifting, motivations are being revealed, and the characters are forced to confront the consequences of the choices they’ve made.”
And don’t forget about Bellarie head of security, Jules. Netflix warns that “grief can be relentless,” and when it comes to the mysterious death of his son, Jules isn’t going to stop asking questions anytime soon.
First Look Images at Season 3
Alongside the release date, Netflix also dropped a batch of first-look images for the new season, teasing the tense boardroom meetings, FBI perp walks, and shady interrogations to come:
Among the pictures, we see Kimmie and Mallory together, a group of FBI agents escorting the Bellarie men down steps, plus Kimmie sits in a tense boardroom meeting with Mallory and Horace, and more intense standoffs.
