Shin Si Ah and Moon Sang Min will play the romantic leads in Netflix’s newest coming-of-age romance K-drama, Do Not Climb Over the Wall, from Our Beloved Summer writer Lee Na Run. Production is scheduled to begin in September 2026, and we expect a late 2027 release for the series. Here’s everything we know about Do Not Climb Over the Wall on Netflix.
Do Not Climb Over the Wall is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original romantic drama series written by Lee Na Eun, who previously wrote Melo Movie and the Our Beloved Summer series and movie.
What is the plot of Do Not Climb Over the Wall?
We have a more detailed synopsis thanks to MyDramaList’s translation from Naver:
“A high school romance story about two students from rival elite schools—a boys’ school and a girls’ school separated by a fence—who both become student council presidents and refuse to lose to each other. Under a strict rule that expels students for getting caught dating, it portrays the reckless first love of 19-year-olds.”
Who are the cast members of Do Not Climb over the Wall?
So far, the only cast members reported to have joined the K-drama are Moon Sang Min and Shin Si A, also known as Cynthia, who play the lead roles.
Shin Si A has starred in two Netflix projects: the Hospital Playlist spin-off Resident Playbook as Pyo Nam Gyeong and the 2025 romantic film Even if This Love Disappears Tonight as Han Seo Yun. She will also play the lead role in Netflix’s upcoming K-drama Grand Galaxy Hotel. Outside of Netflix, the actress has starred in films such as The Old Woman with the Knife, The Witch: Part 2 The Other One, and When Two Guys Fight Over Me.

ITZY’s Yuna has reportedly been cast in a leading role in the series and will star as transfer student Kim Lizzy/Kim Ri Ji. The majority of her television appearances have been as herself on various variety and talk shows, but she did make her acting debut in 2026 with a guest role in Undercover Miss Hong, where she played Geum Bo’s younger sister, Hong Jang Mi. Yuna will also be starring in a supporting role in tvN’s upcoming romantic comedy My Bias, My Boss.
The character of Kim Lizzy/Kim Ri Ji has been described as:
“A transfer student at Jinwol Girls’ High School and a love supremacist. With her unique vibe and cute face, she entered Jinwol Girls’ High School—known for its strict transfer requirements—as a long-distance specialist on the track and field team. Once she had somewhat adapted, she began telling stories about her
previous co-ed school to attract the attention of female students and boasted about the phone numbers of male students, causing cracks to gradually appear in the class atmosphere, which had previously been excellent for studying.”
